Mozie, I am glad you like the poems, I like posting them and will when I can. Hope you are feeling better after a little R&R this weekend. We are flying to FL. on Weds and will be there for a week visiting our oldest son. Our DIL is having a surprise 40th BD party for him. I am bringing my old laptop with, so will post when I can.
Yes, you are correct. I’m so confused. I ..momentarily.. forgot that we were doing weekly and weekend threads. Duh!
Wow. Flying to FLorida. Won't you miss the cold & the snow???!!!
;-)
Hope you have a great time.:)
Just a thought.
Nashville, Tn.
:-)) See? I’m equally befuddled too!
I told you a couple of weeks ago about Paula Deen’s Creamy Shrimp dish??? I’ve looked through all of her books and dang if I can find it. I must have dreamed it or something. Sorry I led you down a wrong path about it.
Bit, you are absolutely correct...Spector should be shown the door followed closely by Snowe and Collins...all democrats, in their hearts. The only way they can win is to run as Republicans, which none of them ain’t.
jtill, I like your tagline, but He isn’t through with me yet, still working on this piece of clay.
Maybe instead of doing daily count downs, do monthly ones?
Good night everyone.
That’s frustrating, isn’t it? I went to Ask.com and entered her name and came up with Creamy Shrimp Bisque. Would that be it? Celery, onion tops, garlic, onion, flour, fish stock.
Also came up with her shrimp and grits dish. I remember one night you were going to knock Roomey off his chair with that. LOL! Did you?
Read this in the paper this a.m. and thought it about summed up the drive behind the “Tea Parties”:
‘Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows or both.’
Frederick Douglass, abolitionist, journalist, 1857
At first he didn’t know what the grits were, he thought I’d done something with rice. He ate it and thought it was tasty but grits were for breakfast. Soooo....
Picked up another box of religious books today, had a bunch of books preachers use, lots of hard and soft covers, jails can only take soft binders, preacher told me to keep the hard cover ones for study.
You church goers, mention to your preachers to start collecting soft cover bibles and religious novels and take then to the local jails, make it a church wide drive by your members and get the books to prisons and city and county jails. I bought me some cheap clothes baskets, typed some request for the books and got the preacher to mention it 4 weeks in a row and it will be a on going endeavor. Binders MUST be soft cover. I am trying to make this a state wide doings and in ALL churches. Sure does the heart good too.
