Looking back, I think where Edwards went wrong was paying his taxes. Had he been a tax cheat he would have a cabinet post right now.

Where was John Edwards around the time his alleged "love child" Frances Quinn Hunter was conceived?
The senator was in New York – receiving his Father of the Year Award.
Edwards accepted his June 27, 2007, honor from the Father's Day/Mother's Day Council exactly eight months before the child was born Feb. 27, 2008, according to a birth certificate obtained by the Charlotte Observer.
Before beginning his Father of the Year acceptance speech, Edwards told an adoring crowd, "I hate to admit it, but I am not the best parent in my family. ..."

Every time I hear about Edwards I am reminded of a lawyer friend of mine that called him “the one” during the early days of the D’s primary. I was baffled at this, and even more baffled when Obama became “the one” in the D’s party.
Maybe my lib-lawyer friend was ahead of the times!

She I’m sure is clearly sticking with him because of her kids, she knows she’s dying and doesn’t want what leaving him would do to their family in the short time she has left in this world. I don’t agree with either of the Edward’s politics, but its clear who the better half of that relationship is.
