Brian Vike believes he has photographic evidence that sasquatches exist.

No, he doesn’t have a photo of a sasquatch, but he does have a photo of a very large footprint.

Where is the impression of the plant when it was pressed into the show?

I’m pretty sure that we have a creature similar to the Loch Ness monster in Lake Erie called Bessie. I keep my eye on things when I’m at the cottage, but, so far, no monsters other than my liberal neighbour who hates my American flag.

Yeah, the other pic in the article looks like the center “toe” was made by someone’s boot. And there are no pics of the supposed “trail” of footprints leading off. This claim is not at all believable.

From the comments section of the article is a good question. Why didn’t the guy follow the footprints to see where they led and if there was anything additional he could gather as proof? Answer: Because it’s a fake claim.

Yeah, you know..., me and my camera... well.., I would be taking about 500 pictures about then. No, I’m not exaggerating; I’ve been known to do it. Of course, it helps that I have a digital camera with a few extra “cards” for those 500 pictures... :-)

But, really, I would take each footprint, for one thing, take it from several angles, for another thing — and then be following the trail off in the direction of where it was going, all the while taking pictures of my location and surroundings, so I could “mark it” for coming back later, too...

Those edges are nice and crisp, too. It couldn’t have been made more than a few minutes before the pic was taken.

Also, in that deep of snow, there would be a drag mark.

As fakes go, this one wins the “Most Pathetic Attempt” award.

How deep is the lake? I saw the documentary about Ogopogo, but have they taken film of the bottom? If there were any creatures like Nessie (I’ve been to Loch Ness) or Ogopogo, you’d think at the very least they’d have found skeletal remains of these creatures lying on the bottom. It’s another case of people wanting to believe. I’d like to believe in these creatures, but I need a lot more proof than what’s being offered.

Besides, the print looks a bit funny.

Like the impression was made by a plywood bigfoot cutout on the end of a stick, made by going straight down and then straight back up. Not an animal walking. This hoaxster is not very thoughtful or bright.

If I was out squatching, I would be a little embarrassed to publish that photo on its own. There are a number of things that could make an impression in the snow, the most obvious is a bear with the hind foot stepping onto the print of the front foot. And yes bears are sometimes seen roaming in the winter. Another thing that happens is clumps of snow falling from tree limbs makes a nice impression where they hit. You also have snow that warms and cools, making smaller prints expand as they become older.
Now if this guy would of took photos of the series, he did say there were more, and measure toes to heel to make sure they were consistent, and then see if he could find one showing more detail for a close up, then he may have something. But this?
