Terminal cancer is bad enough without newspaper articles discussing how you are deteriorating. Why doesn’t the press leave him alone? Why was this posted to FR?
To: Steelfish
I really hate reading about this. He always seemed like a decent guy. Prayers for a miracle that only the Lord can deliver.........

Wow...that's stunning. And very sad:

Damn... I’ve always liked Patrick’s movies... Looks like there never will be any sequels... sad news.

I can understand how you are feeling about this... but I can think of two reasons why this information is relevant to Freepers... those who really enjoyed Patrick as an actor can feel for his odyssey. The second is Patrick himself came out last year... and publicly said he had cancer.

Agree to a point. Once it appears in the MSM, the privacy is lost. Walling off FReepers from sad news upon which prayers are often offered is not something we do here.

In some respects I agree but he is moving forward one day at a time and as far as I can tell not bitching about the cancer but living his life. It is in many respects inspiring. May the Lord bless him.

His movies were too good to have to do sequels

According to the article, he’s been married to the same woman for 33 years.
Rare these days for regular people, let alone Hollywood.

Prayers for a miracle that only the Lord can deliver...The miracle is there for the asking, and for each one of us.
Even better, its eternal.
Pray Mr Swayze, & anyone else in need, ask.

He may be thin and bald, but he is still beautiful.
You guys are going to hate this, but one of my favorite Swayze movies he plays a transvestite, along with John Legazamo and Wesley Snipes. Too Wong Foo, Thank you for everything, Julie Newmar - he was very good in it.
My husband even enjoyed it, which floored me.
Keep up the fight, Patrick.
