Why is Obama still campaigning?
Posted on 05/01/2009 11:49:42 AM PDT by opineapple
Does he get it, that he's no longer running for president but IS president?
He's running around doing town hall meetings is if it were still primary season. He's still speaking in slogans. And in one response to a reporter at his last press conference, he did something I found very telling. I thought I heard wrong until I checked the transcript, but he actually twice referred to his presidency as "this race."
All right. OK. Surprised. I am surprised compared to where I started, when we first announced for this race, by the number of critical issues that appear to be coming to a head all at the same time.
You know, when I first started this race, Iraq was a central issue, but the economy appeared on the surface to still be relatively strong. There were underlying problems that I was seeing with health care for families and our education system and college affordability and so forth, but obviously, I didn't anticipate the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. (from the transcript)
What race? What is he running for?

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, et al never stopped “campaigning”, either.

Why is Obama still campaigning?Because he can't believe American voters were so damned stupid as to elect him president.
He also believes he's in a dream world when he considers who the Republicrat Party puked up to run against him.

He is just doing what he’s told to do. Stay out of Washington while Soros conducts the affairs.

Running for office is the only job experience he has!

Bubba also never stopped campaigning. I think maybe it’s the only thing that the left knows how to do.

They all needed the public adulation, and have extremely thin skins.
Something isn’t right with these people.

Isn’t that obvious to you? He intends to get his second term. Most presidents who seriously want a second term get what they want. He seriously wants it in order to complete his agenda.

Maybe he would be more comfortable if they held another debate. That would be a first. A post-presidential debate.
I can hear it now:
"Mr. President, you've been in office for ____ months. Tell the American people why you want to be president, Mr. President?"

Folks who study the workplace will tell you that people tend to do the work that is in their comfort zone and try to avoid the "difficult" work they are not sure how to complete.
Obama has no true executive experience and therefore is _very_ uncomfortable when faced with most of the President's job.
Public relations, propaganda, et al _are_ in his comfort zone.
imho _that_ is why he is campaigning.
He likes to do it!
