The race is in Greenville this weekend?
The key is on the bottom border of the doppler. It’s a circle with a crosshair in it. Aim yer peepsight over to the right of Greenville and you’ll acquire yer target.
No SPEED channel on my cable.
Grrr
... or at least till Tork shows up.
Did Obama Motors pull the Dodge NASCAR Sponsorships ?
Obummer. Well, at least ya got us here, if you can see through the fog o battle.
maybe they'll be running Chevy's?

As far as okra I had to do a search and came up with this: Its scientific name is Abelmoschus esculentus and also Hibiscus esculentus.
In various parts of the world, it is known as Okra, Ochro, Okoro, Quimgombo, Quingumbo, Ladies Fingers, Gombo, Kopi Arab, Kacang Bendi, Bhindi (S. Asia), Bendi (Malaysia), Bamia, Bamya or Bamieh (middle east) or Gumbo (Southern USA). Apparently Gumbo is Swahili for okra. In Portugal and Angola, okra is known as Quiabo (plural: Quiabos), and in Cuba, as quimbombo. In Japan it is known as okura. Patrick Taylor adds: Okra has found its way to Taiwan, where its called qiu kui (pronounced cheeoh kway). Thats the Mandarin Chinese word for it in Taiwan - which might be the same in the PRC, or might not.
Obviously something with that many names cant be good for you......I mean, how many names are there for gimmie a burger and beer?<

Hershel McGriff turned 81 in December but he scoffs at the idea of retirement. And he plans to prove it by entering three races in the Camping World West Series this summer. McGriff, a four-time winner in the Cup Series who made his NASCAR debut as a 22-year-old in the inaugural Southern 500 in 1950, plans to attempt to qualify at three road courses: June 20 at Infineon Raceway, July 19 at Portland International Raceway and Aug. 1 at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
"This is the first time they've run Portland since 1986, and I won that race, so I wanted to defend my title," said McGriff, who resided in nearby Bridal Veil for many years before moving to Arizona. McGriff's four Cup victories came during the 1954 season, as he traveled back and forth, running both the Grand National and Pacific Coast Late Model Series. McGriff won the 1986 Winston West championship and held Winston West records for most wins (35) and poles (35). He holds the record for most stock-car victories at Riverside International Raceway, where he won 14 times. He made his last Cup start at 65, finishing 43rd at Sonoma in 1993 after engine problems sidelined his #04 Chevrolet.
Are they in the blue or the green?
Love the disclaimer!
Won’t be watching the All-Star Race, since I don’t get Speed. If I get my wife’s car fixed before Friday, I’ll be at the Rolex Series race at Laguna this weekend (not sure of my turn assignment).
Suspended Mayfield tabs Yeley as interim driver

Mayfield Motorsports will field a No. 41 Toyota for J.J. Yeley in this weekend’s Sprint Showdown, the 40-lap qualifying race for the Sprint All-Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, with Shana Mayfield the owner of record following last weekend’s indefinite suspension of her husband, owner/driver Jeremy Mayfield, for a violation of NASCAR’s substance abuse policy.
The Mayfields plan to file her owner’s paperwork with NASCAR Competition on Tuesday morning, followed by the driver change. Crew chief Tony Furr and team manager Bobby Wooten along with their crew members compiled a “short list” of candidates Monday morning and when the Mayfields arrived, they met with the team and then, Yeley, before making their final decision.
The new owner said Yeley also would drive the car in the following weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s — where Yeley finished a career-best second in 2007 — and for what she and her husband hope will be a brief interlude as they resolve Jeremy Mayfield’s positive drug test.
Shana Mayfield said her team is intact since Mayfield got the news of a positive result for “a drug of concern” in a random test given on Friday of the Richmond race weekend, followed by his “B sample,” on Mayfield’s request, also testing positive. Mayfield issued a statement this past Saturday at Darlington saying he believed the positive result came from a combination of a prescription drug and an over-the-counter allergy medication.

Nascar supposedy has a list of stuff that is No NO but it isn’t publicly released... so the exact “a drug of concern” is unknown.
