They sure bought up the lot of them. I haven`t lived in that area for years and can only get back to visit family once in a very great while. What particularly pissed me off is the way Mayor Daley closed some of the cess pools of public housing. That forced the welfare swine to move to the lower cost of living in N.W. IN. Typical liberal NIMBY attitude,they create the problem then refuse to live with it or cleaning it up.From what I`ve heard East Chicago,already bad, has become as bad a gang banger shooting gallery as Gary.
East Chicago and north Hammond used to be decent (respectfully), but as you stated, gangs are turning it into a shooting gallery.
