I'm not sure what strikes me as odd about this. Maybe MTV can fix it and make it normal again.

"Look in the empty section! All the empty seats. He is really not as popular as the media says he is."

I wonder about those seats, if security didn't allow them to be used. Tickets to a loved ones graduation are very restricted at a place like the USNA. How many more friends and family could have attended if those seats had been used? Does any actually know the reason?

And when Barry ended his message he closes with Bless America, the troops, etc. I did not hear God mentioned.

I guess I am old fashioned.

Newly minted officers shouldn’t be doing chest bumps, fist bumps, and hugs with the Commander in Chief. A simple handshake and a salute is appropriate and shows the graduate to be an officer and a gentleman.

I understand the need to let loose after such a rigorous four years, but there needs to be a certain minimum level of decorum exercised at public events.

New graduates, happy and excited? Yes.

But they are officers, and they need to act like one.

Those sections of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium are always empty during graduation.

It would appear that at least McCains son knows military bearing, something one can not say about some of the others.

I agree with you. A little decorum, no matter who the president is, would be appropriate when getting diploma’s.
Now after............
