I have a couple too and when I got into a big argument with one of them and we are no longer on speaking terms and I don’t care. She used to be a Republican, started hanging out with her Jewish friends from work and became a Kerry then a Hilary supporter. She used to email me telling me what pond scum obama was. Then in the end, when Hillary didn’t get the nomination, she voted for the POS. We had it out, good riddance!
Then she has the nerve to send me some links to things bad about obama. I finally just blocked her emails and don’t pick up the phone when she calls. Caller ID is great.

My best buddy married a liberal woman...a very, VERY good looking woman. I've asked him how such a funny looking dude could secure such a good looking woman. :-) Before they were married, they went through a list of things that they felt might get in the way of a relationship later on. She told him that he would have to get rid of all of his firearms when they got married (because she was afraid of them), and he told her that as much it broke his heart that he would have to let her go first. HOWEVER... he explained that it wasn't because he favored firepower over her. He told her that it was because as her husband, he would have an obligation and a MANDATE to protect her with his life, and for her to attempt to disarm him vastly reduced this ability and was a recipe for simple and probable future disaster if they were to ever fall prey to a home invasion, or car jacking, or any number of other things that we deal with as people in our imperfect world.

She didn't say much about it at the time, other than quietly deciding that she could deal with all the guns and HIM. But years later it came out that she was flattered and amazed that he valued her so highly. In fact, after that speech he gave her about the guns, she thought of him as her "hero", even though she didn't say so at the time.:-)

I've known several liberal women to become converted. For one, women are (generally) smarter than men, and they aren't as easy to confuse with contradicting philosophies such as those employed by liberals. They pretty much know what they want. Most who hook up with a good honest conservative man become fully converted some time after that and come to pity and despise cowardly, ineffective, lefty-panty-waist men who fill the ranks of the liberal masses.

I did this. Here’s what its like. Slam your head in a door many many times. Prepare for American politics in microcosm. You get to be the disrespected red state, she gets to be New York times. The sex will be incredible, just DO NOT get her pregnant.

My daughter finally put it to me perfectly and dropped my jaw. She said, In philosophy your most basic beliefs come first, your metaphysics and epistimology, etc. These lead straight to your ethics. Your Politics arise from there.
Kid said *her politics clearly tell you her most basic values*. But you wouldnt listen.
