Posted on 06/13/2009 12:43:54 PM PDT by don-o
Mrs Don-o wrecked on her bike this morning and has broken bones in both her arms plus a broken left elbow. She will have surgery tomorrow for the elbow.
I left her in good spirits, after she was given some pain medication.
As often happens, we meet angels all along the way - from the folks to stopped at the accident to render assistance and contact me - to the EMT's who transported her - to the wonderful staff at our medical center.
Your prayers and pings are requested.
Bummer, Don-o — prayers away!
Prayers up for Mrs. Don-o's speedy recovery.
ping list of previous prayer thread when she had her gastric bypass.
Sorry to hear this, don-o. I will say a prayer for mrs don-o, hope she is not too uncomfortable at this point. Poor gal!
My thougts and prayers for the wonderful Mrs. don-o.
Blessings to you all.
I hope she gets better real quick.
was it a Harley??
sarc, I think
yipes....prayers for sure.
The odd thing about this is that our Ben (see tag) has bought his first motorcycle and we were, of course, concerned for his safety. I figured when the dreaded call came, it would be about him, not her.
Prayers up for Mrs. don-o’s recovery.
I join in earnest prayer for Mrs. don-o!
So very sorry to hear that Mrs. Don-o got so banged up in the bike accident...both arms...bless her heart! Prayers for successful surgery and healing.
Looks like you will be chief cook and bottle washer for a while. Hope she likes your cooking. : )
Oh no. The start of the summer too.
Prayers up for Mrs. Don-o. With both arms in casts, you’ll need lots of help!
Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for Mrs. Don-O!
Oh, no! That is not easy surgery...my daughter had surg for a broken elbow last year.
Poor Mrs. don-o! I will miss her posts, unless you take dictation and transfer them for her.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for your wife.
Yikes! Prays for a speedy recovery!
Prayers for Mrs. don-o
Prayers from here and God Speed on the recovery. As you know your wife is one of my all-time favorite FReeper commentators, probably my #1!
Prayers for Mrs. don-o.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Please tell Mrs. Don-o that we will all be praying for her speedy recovery.
She will shoot me for this - maybe I can get it pulled before she gets back on.
But, her first question to the ortho doc was would she be able to internet? We’re thinking - probably so. Doc said that she should have pretty good mobility. The breaks in the forearm were not bad ones. And he did say that she would be able to use her elbow. Surprised me.
sorry to hear this don-o. hoping for a quick and relatively painless recovery!
you keeping up with bonnaroo this year?
Thank You for Mr. Don-O and Mrs. Don-O.
Please guide the doctors and care staff as they tend to
Mrs. Don-O’s recents injuries.
Your will be done.
In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray this simple prayer.
Not much yet, Rob. I was gonna look at some of it, assuming it's free stream again. Maybe later. I so have two nephews who went (again). They have prospered well enough to rent an RV this time. Been interesting to follow all the drug busts out on the interstate. Our local boys are "on the job" I guess.
Prayers for Mrs Don-o’s successful surgery tomorrow, and any that may be required for the arms’ broken bones. Terrible thing to happen. Thank God for those pain killers.
How fortunate those angels came your way. My son had a bike accident last month and the passers-by and ambulance-hospital crews restored his faith in the goodness of people.
I had a broken ankle a couple years ago and all I could think of was "thank God I can still freep!".
Use your nose, if you must, LOL!
Good cheer and prayers,
(O.K. Mr. Dono, time for a bunch of her favorite flowers, some chocolates, her favorite takeout, foot rubs, back rubs....and finish that “Honey Do” list willya?;))
Oh, dear! Poor Mrs. Don-o! Prayers up for a full and speedy recovery, and don’t let her get too fond of the pain medication ;-).
Oh, no! Prayers are on the way for Mrs. Don-o. Please keep us posted!
Prayer for Healing
Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon me, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.
Best wishes to Mrs. Don-O. Lots of prayers for a quick recovery.
ouchie ouchie ouchie
Ouch! Prayers for a quick recovery.
Prayers up for patience for all of you. Two broken arms...how frustrating!
You and the missus are some of FR’s finest folks.
And you are on the front line of the fight for the unborn—we appreciate all of the Notre Dame/Obama threads.
All things happen for good for those that love God(Romans 8:28). The spill may have been a surprise and a shock, but not to our Heavenly Father, who has His reasons. I am thankful that no clavicles or head injuries were involved.
Mrs. Don-O is still the bionic woman! Tell her we are praying for quick healing for her and for strength for you, don-o.
You are absolutely right. No head trauma save a fat upper lip. Her helmet worked to keep her noggin off the concrete. Knees and back not injured at all. No internal injury. Wrists and fingers all OK.
She was riding on the sidewalk, so no motorists were involved. Plus, this happened before Stupid has his way with our health care provision.
We count all blessings.
Now, I need to get back over there. Thanks to all who have or will reply of even pray for us w/o posting.
Prayers go up for this wonderful Catholic lady who fought so hard against the debacle at Notre Dame. May the Lord heal her speedily.
May The Lord bless you and keep you;
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
