Scarred For Life: The Teen Who Asked For THREE Stars on Her Face & Ended Up With A Constellation

A teenage girl is suing a tattoo artist for £10,000 after she allegedly asked him for three stars on her face - but ended up with 56.

Eighteen-year-old Kimberley Vlaminck paid £55 for 'the graffiti that has ruined my life' in her Belgian home town of Courtrai.

Kimberley says the tattoos have ruined her life She claimed the Romanian tattooist who performed the artwork misunderstood her French and English.

She claims she fell asleep while he was doing his work... and awoke to 'this nightmare'. 'It is terrible for me,' said Kimberley. 'I cannot go out on to the street, I am so embarrassed. I just look horrible.' 'I think he didn’t understand what I wanted. He spoke only fractured English and French.

'But I explicitly said in my native tongue, French, and also in a little bit of English when he looked confused, that I wanted three little stars only near my left eye.' Rouslan Toumaniantz, who runs the tattoo parlour called The Tattoo Box in Courtrai, denies her claim. He said she knew 'exactly what she wanted'. He added: 'She was awake and looked into the mirror several times as the procedure was taking place.

'The trouble all started when she went home and her father and boyfriend threw a fit. 'They are saying things now like I doped her or hypnotised her. What rubbish!

'She asked for 56 stars and that’s what she got.' To remove the stars would require surgery costing £8,500. But even the most advanced laser techniques would, while removing the tattoos, leave deep white marks all across Kimberley's face. She has launched legal proceedings against Toumaniantz seeking damages, plus the money for the operation.

It’s there to draw the viewer’s eyes away from her face.

But perhaps Tighe Barry shortened his last name from Barrymore?

I have never had a tat but have heard that around the eyes and nose really hurt. How did she sleep?

She says she asked for three. It’s a he said, she said. I don’t think he made her pass out or anything, but I don’t think she went in asking for all that. I’d be totally open to anything that proves otherwise to vindicate the tattoo guy. I know that a lot of people now videotape themselves doing work, or audio record it. To avoid such heresay problems. It is getting to that, I have a recorder with me at all times outside the house.

There is no way the girl didn't feel the pain of getting tattoos on her face! She couldn't have fallen asleep during that!

I often encounter language barriers when I order from take-out ethnic restaurants, but the worst case scenario has been getting abalone instead of eel. With tattoos, you should probably be a bit more thorough in making sure you were understood.

She says she asked for three.

Could have been worse......the Romanian tattoo guy could have properly understood the "three" part, but misunderstood the "star" part.

"I am not speaking French so good, but I think she said "penis."

She “fell asleep”? Was stoned out of her mind, more likely and wanted this tattoo until buyer’s remorse kicked in.

Kind of career limiting.

Yeah. The number of stars doesn't really matter that much; facial tattoos are just a bad, bad idea. I've never known a girl with a facial tattoo, but judging from the guys I've met with tattooed faces, the message they generally send to the world is: I'm an ex-felon who is member of a prison gang...
