Iraq was just one — successful — campaign in the global war on terror.

I would say the events in Iran is another successful outcome on the WOT.

It would be nice if this Iran things started a trend throughout the Middle East esoecially in those countries that are still ruled by tyrants and despotic terrorist regimes.

Maybe these leaders are starting to quake in their boots a bit at the possible thought of such a thing happening in places like Lebanon, Yemen, Syria etc.

Welcome to FR.

I think it did until now.

We can see many things stirring up
because they know they have a wuss
that won’t fight back for fear of offending someone. IMO

Did it reduce the threat of terrorism? Aboslutely!

Have terrorists attacked the homeland since President Bush and Vice President Cheney implemented their policies and strategies? No.

We haven’t been attacked in 7+ years. The Bush Doctrine is a significant factor in that equation.

Well, we had a war in Iraq, and until Obama was our president there were no further terrorist attacks on our land.

In otherwords, you would like us to write your paper for you instead of you going to a library, looking on-line, and using just general paper writing techniques?

Give him/her a break. Interviewing conservatives for opinions is a valid research technique.

Judging by your writing style, I think Megan Fox would be a better subject.

Don't get me wrong......there have been other successes too.

They just haven't been as well publicized as our victory in Iraq.

Have hope...if America can change into a socialist dictatorship ...then Iran can certainly turn into a freedom loving country.

Clearly it did. No more Saddam, a supporter/financier of terrorism and Iraq was a safe haven. The effort tied down a good deal of Al Queda resources for a long time. It was pretty safe in the US as there were not a lot of attacks.

The real question is was the Iraq war worth the time, $$ and casualties we have sustained. We won't have the answer to this question for a long time however.

Best of luck!

Maybe with all the unrest in Iran...the Iranian gov. won't have time to train and send out Islamic insurgents freedom fighters out into the world...
