Sheryl Crow is the best MO has to offer for the National Anthem?...She looks awful and doesn’t sing much better.

And if I recall, it was a knee-high fastball on the outside corner.

Hell yes! Been a Mets fan since the very beginning. I’m just a transplant, like most Floridians.

Meet the Mets,
Meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets ...

At least she sang it straight. I usually mist up, but given who was singing I didn’t tonight.

I will always love baseball as well. I refuse to let BHO piss me off so much I can’t watch this game. If he goes into the booth for in-game commentary though, I will exercise my right as an American to invoke the mute button clause.

You are 100% correct, sir!!

God I miss the man. He wasn’t much to listen to, but his love for our country was never in doubt!

I’m watching - saw the presidential moments. They must have blocked out the audience noise.

Husband is driving listening on the radio.

He called laughing and said:

Obama spoke, silence.
GWB spoke, wild cheering and applause.
Clinton spoke, silence.
GHWB spoke, more wild cheering and applause.
Carter spoke... BOOING!

Gotta love it! And TV blocked it but ESPN radio did not!

Loved the Mets as a young boy listening to Lindsey Nelson & crew on the radio. This was the the late 1970’s when they really sucked. Each win meant something! John Stearns was always their All-Star representative: a pretty good catcher. Great memories of Shea on a warm Summer night.

Me too....Zero can do his song and dance but if there is one thing in this world that won’t be corrupted by that asshat...it’s baseball
