Where do these idiot teachers come up with this kind of crap?

Do any of these idiots understand the phrase “age appropriate?”
I would condemn the parents for raising such stupid children.
I suspect that there is a “classical” psychology experiment in which a group of people are given a “briefing” by someone either wearing a lab coat or military uniform. The briefer tells them that UFOs are coming and soon to arrive, but we know nothing about the aliens or their intentions.
“The government” wants to survey them on their opinions and attitudes about what should be done.
(Importantly, the people are slightly “detained”, for safety reasons, and cannot be permitted to leave until they had it carefully explained to them that this is a hoax, no aliens are coming, and it is just a psychology experiment to see how they react. And that they are convinced of the fact.)
The survey should try to determine if they intend to go on normally and wait for further information; if they are panicking, and plan to head for the country; if they plan to do nothing, stop working or anything else, until they know more; or something else.
While some people would likely panic, I suspect that just as bad, a lot of people would just sit and watch TV until they know what to do, and that were this to happen on a nationwide scale, it would collapse our economy.
So it doesn’t really matter what the UFO aliens intentions are. What is implied is that any real UFO contact has to be handled very carefully, and that our society is “brittle” in this way, and needs to learn how to psychologically deal with true unknowns.
