Still can’t access this site. Saw in my pings that you sent me a reply, so went to your home page to read it. Wish we would hear from Grannie, or at least hear from someone who has contacted her. I am having trouble with other threads that are real long. Wonder if that is the problem?
testing....
Granny’s Survival Thread #3 was available off and on over the last few weeks.
It ‘appears’ to be back now. Let’s keep our fingers crossed! (Yes, hard to do while typing but I have faith in Freepers)
I have no one to give it to ... or apply it to.
Has anyone updated the downloadable threads lately? Like you, I have changed ISPs and new computer. I need to re download those threads just to keep Granny's hard work available!
Any volunteers? I'll host the files but could use some help archiving them...

What a marvelous post - love the graphics and links!
How do you do that in html?
I’ll be happy to help with archiving, but need some instructions.....
Very cute!
Where is our granny?
>>>How do you do that in html?<<<
LOL, I cheat... I use a program called Coffee Cup HTML and let it generate the code, then I just copy everything between the ‘(body) and (/body)’ and post it to FR
>>>Ill be happy to help with archiving, but need some instructions.....<<<
The last post archived was your post - # 2500 of this thread. Both Eagle50AE and TAC were just copying the thread and pasting it into Word (or you can use OpenOffice) then zipping it with pkzip, 7zip or other zipping utility.
I have been posting them on a site I have so we can avoid the two week expiration time that some of the posting sites have.
If you could archive some, that would sure help a bunch, then I could put them online.
Anyone heard from Granny?
No, I haven’t heard and I’m getting concerned.
I’m worried about granny too.
Hey DW, got thread #3 cut and pasted from post 2500 to 9000 (my computer bogged down at adding posts 9000-9250). The original is almost 6000 pages, 51.5 MB. The compressed version is 14.4 MB.
This might be too big for some computers to decompress, but I thought it wise to get all the posts we can archived in the event we lose the thread again. When we get to 10K, I can cut it down into 2 smaller files.
I had your email at one time to send the file to, but can’t seem to find it now ;) We got a new, improved computer - and of course, not everything transferred.
>>>Darn, cheating costs money!<<<
LOL - not really - I got that software as part of a package for another project. You can compose in Word or OpenOffice, then save as HTML, then open with browser and right click and view source - copy all between ‘body’ entries and you got the same thing...
Plus, there are several WYSIWYG HTML editors that are free.

Great!
I agree that the smaller sized ones are best for some with older ‘puters or those with not too much memory.
I’ve FRmailed my email address.
Again Thank You!

The Organic Elite Surrenders to Monsanto
“In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto’s Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation’s 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America’s organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it’s time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto’s controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for “coexistence” with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack.”
