The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Congress is this —you cannot post ‘Thou Shall Not Steal’, ‘Thou Shall Not Commit Adultery’, and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians .... it creates a hostile work environment.
Yep ... I have been wondering what happened to you.
Hope your day was Warm and Fuzzy.
I’ve been kinda busy since we got home.
Brother's wife, brother, friend, niece, DH, nephew and his wife.
Great picture, Aqua. You have a beautiful family. Thanks for sharing your pix with us.
Amy, it has been a very busy day, here.
And, everytime I tried to log on - it just happened that FR was down. Wish I knew what was going on......
I just sprayed (bug spray) a spider as big as a lime, out in my garage. Part of me feels guilty, and the other part of me is thinking, “At least he won’t be crawling into my open mouth, as I am sleeping tonight. Sigh.
Super looking family, Aqua! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks, fuzzy. : )
Good night and sweet dreams, wolfie.
You can have a piece of me. Anything but my tail.
Because you'd probably tie it to your truck's antenna.....
and let it flap in the breeze of the dusty old Texas back roads. : (
We sure are. Ain't we got fun? I see you did add yourself, Billie.
How did you go missing in the first place?
Guess a big bump in the road tossed you out. And we didn't miss you until today. LOL
I hope you've finally learned to wear your seatbelt. : )
Shiver me timbers. Guilty? I kill all spiders.
Marissa had to tell my BIL about your snake and the pack rat. She thought that was funny.
I’m hoping the attacks on FR stop soon. It is so frustrating when it takes 4 tries before something sticks. I heard that both Facebook and Twitter were hit by hackers last week. I think it is an attack on our FRee Speech.
When I teach writing, I explain that its generally better to use short words or phrases first in a series, as in arts and letters and life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Early in my career, I explained to authors that it just sounds better this way, but then I discovered a rule about this. And I learned that authors are more likely to accept editorial changes when I can point them to a rule than when I just say, Trust me.
This is typical of human nature. We have a love/hate relationship with rules. We dont like rules, but were unsure how to determine right from wrong without them.
God had a relationship with Adam and Eve that was based on loving trust. The only rule necessary was one that protected them from knowledge that would end in death. But when disobedience broke the trusting relationship, God added more rules to protect the wayward couple and their offspring.
In Christ, God proclaimed once more that the good life He wants for us is not about rules but a relationship. As Paul wrote, all the commandments can be summarized in one word: love. Because we are in Christ, we can enjoy peace with God and othersnot because theres a rule, but because there is love.
G’mornin’ GB! I just have a moment but wanted to say thanks for the beautiful roses!
Good morning ya’ll
This was in my email this morning and I thought it would be enjoyed here.
