How did you go missing in the first place? Guess a big bump in the road tossed you out. And we didn't miss you until today. LOL

Humph! You were laughing so hard when you hit that bump you didn't even see me get tossed out! Gee, thanks a lot! LOL

I hope you've finally learned to wear your seatbelt. : )

As long as wolfie's driving, I will remember to buckle up!

Les Paul

Mr. Polfus
Lester William Polfus
Known to the world as Les Paul
Tinkered and invented all his life
I met him and talked with him last year
It was the closest I could have ever come
To meeting the likes of Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison
or Nikola Tesla

A life brimming with optimism,
genius, and the never ending quest
"How can I make this a little bit..."
better?"
This life he was given he has given back now

He went home at the age of Ninety-Four
A long deserved rest for a restless spirit
and a journey which has now changed
for the better

You can have a piece of me. Anything but my tail. Because you'd probably tie it to your truck's antenna..... and let it flap in the breeze of the dusty old Texas back roads. : (

How did you know?

Pfffft!! : (

PETA will be in touch with you.

As will wolfie. : )

I had forgotten this one too.

Thank you both for this repeat.
Thanks for the memories.

PS:I started this post almost 2 hours ago. ... sigh .... First a long phone call from a friend and then I needed to get clothes out of the dryer.
I'll catch up some time today. LOL

Those are beautiful Prickly Pear Cactus Blooms.
I have seen some cactus blooms but never anything this pretty.
Thank you.

Is today a little less hectic than yesterday.
So far, (knock on wood) no problems with FR.
Sure hope it stays that way.

Enjoy your Thursday.

Hi, darlin' Sis!

Say, remember when we were just youngsters, and we used to go down to the bakery shop?

Remember when you stole that big wedding cake and we hotfooted it back to our secret hideout, the fruit cellar?

Man, we ate off that thing for a week. LOL

But then a 'so-called' friend ratted us out. (Don't know how mom could do that to her only babies.)

Anyway, she turned us in to old Sheriff Bird, remember her? She had some prickly, blue, skinny feathers sticking out of her mouth.Otherwise not bad looking.

She was a rough one but had a heart of gold. All we had to do was give her most of our cake, the side that had the big sugary roses on it.
It was so funny watching her have a sugar fit.
She was jam dancin' all over town. LOL

Remember, sweet ((((((Sis)))))) ?

Yep, I remember the fun we had with Billie always on our trail.

That ole Sheriff Bird was always a softie when it came to those big sugary roses
and chocolate chip cookies.

To Be Happy

  To be happy
Is to be happy with oneself.
To be happy
Is to be free with your thoughts and aspirations.
To be happy with oneself
Is to have that inner peace of mind acceptable to change,
Being able to play your part in life's forever changing game.
To be sad with life
Is to be discourage with life.
Do not be discouraged
Be encouraged
To have no cares no worries.
So be happy
Life is a colorful growing tree
Which leaves change colors everyday.
Find your color and grow your tree
To be all you can be.

Les Paul, one of those quiet giants that made such a mark. He helped shape music, recording, style and the lives of many musicians. He did it all with a mind that sought new ways, and new sounds, and gave us such a wealth of foundation in our culture (and that of a lot of the world.) We will miss him, but we will have his gifts a long, long time.
