You two are under arrest - you've been having way too much fun at my expense. LOL!

Yes we is!! LOL

Now hand over all the cookies and cake you didn't eat.

HUH? You arrest us and still want our goodies?!

Well, missy blue, this is our reply to your demand.

Hail Hail the Gangs All Here....

LOL Isn't that great? Like old times.
Billie cracking the whip over all us minions, threatening to jail us if we don't give her our sweets.

But deep down we all know she's a goodhearted woman. Hmmmmm....I think someone even wrote a song about her.

Yepper, maybe Willie Nelson. Come to think of it, it was really about BillieBlue and Wolfie:

"Cause she's a good hearted woman she loves her good timin' man." La-La-La-La-La

LOL!!

Sorry you got caught up in the craziness tonight, Diver. : )

I hope your back is feeling better this evening.

Polly - we have had a little rain, yesterday - but most of it ran off - there is no Cracker Barrel here in Sedona - but I think Phoenix has one - (and they get a lot more rain than we do, up here at 4,500 ft. alt.)

I wish you could have stopped by......Amy brought her ‘crew’ over, and I think they had a nice time.

Next time, call me, sweetie - and we will arrange to get together!

Just wanted to say hi Polly! Love Cracker Barrel! We have two here.(one to the North and one to the South). Both are close driving distances. I don't go too often but when I do, I'm just like you....too full! Their food is delicious for sure! And you can have breakfast anytime you want!

Botany In Action

This morning I found you before the rain,
Before a shower, before makeup and hairspray,
Before you made your breath like mint,
Before morning prayer, soap, earrings, and perfume,
Before hot water, breakfast and a cigarette, when
You were six brown leaves dancing in the wind

This morning I found you before the phone rang,
Before the first bill was paid, before your impatiens woke to thirst,
Before you cleaned rough white crystals of sleep from the corner of your eye,
Before you took any medicine, before you looked in any mirror,
Before your life began to need you, when
You were smooth stones at the bottom of a cold, fast-moving stream

This morning I found you before you touched the powdered wing of your own early beauty
Your hair a million unmapped directions, a survey of the wildness of sleep,
Your body rising, falling with your breath, before you dressed in different rhythm.
This morning I found you when you were botany in action,
Partly bud and partly bloom, scarlet flower drinking air and light.

So the breakfasts....are they good at CB ???
I had the Chicken and Dumplings tonight. Hubby had catfish as always. I can’t say that the Chicken and Dumplings were as good as the fried chicken I had the last time I was here...

Sure was a treat though! Just finished a good swim and about ready to call it a day!

10 Hours later and it starts to sink in
Then, looking in the mirror, one swears
one sees a fool
Like the little kid in the baseball jersey
who learned that one of his heroes is gone

No sense beating myself up for being human
Barkeep, a Guiness, just one for the evening
One of my heroes went home today
I won't see him again for a long, long time

Lifting my glass toward Heaven
Until we meet again my friend
Until we meet again.

The Deadliest Disease
[Jesus] was wounded for our transgressions, . . . and by His stripes we are healed. —Isaiah 53:5

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) was identified in 2003 in Vietnam. By the time it was brought under control, SARS had spread globally and killed nearly 800 people. One reason for the high mortality rate was that the virus was not recognized initially. But once recognized and understood, SARS was contained.

An even more dangerous disease is on the loose in our world—sin. It too is difficult to bring under control because many people do not recognize its deadliness. And many dispute the Bible’s diagnosis of sin.

In Joshua 7, we read the tragic story of Achan. We may recoil at the extreme way God dealt with him. Against God’s command, he had taken some of the spoils from Jericho and hid them in his tent (v.21). He and his entire family paid with their lives (v.25).

Thankfully, God does not deal with us in that way. If He did, none of us would remain alive. Yet we must never underestimate sin’s deadliness. It sent Christ to the cross for us.

Like SARS, the first step to deal with sin is to recognize it for what it is. Receive with gratitude the gift of eternal life. Then “put to death your members which are on the earth”—the selfish things that displease God (Col. 3:5). That’s the way to deal with our deadliest disease.

The Remedy for Sin
Have you received Christ’s gift of salvation? He died for your sins and rose from the dead. He offers forgiveness to all who believe in Him (Rom. 10:9).

Sin is a heart disease that can be cured only by the Great Physician.

Bible in One Year: Psalms 89-90; Romans 14

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

From an email on June 10th, 2006 - the author is unknown.
