The Wolverines gave their lives but the fact that they are honored with a plaque at Partisan Rock suggests that in the end their cause prevailed.

I'd like to avoid this situation if possible for obvious reasons.

If it DOES hits the fan, and if we are ready if it does, my pistol is a good tool to get to a rifle, and good for an ambush in plain sight. It's weakness is range and noise compared to a crossbow, bow, or knife.

The most important thing is logistics. Know the land. Know the opposition. Know the support.

I don’t think we have much to worry about from the current, existing armed forces when you consider military demographics, especially the make up of the combat units.

I left the Army a long time ago, but our units and sections(military intelligence) and the combat arms units that I’ve been to were pretty sparse, other than Asians. OTOH, signal, supply, motorpool, laundry & bath, and clerical were sometimes the other way around.

I didn’t serve, but from what I understand the combat units are disproportionately white, especially as compared to the overall population aged 18-35. I would think this group is also largely from non-urban areas.

In other words, I would think most come from a conservative background that respects things like the Second Amendment. So I would just have a hard time seeing the existing military turn on the population in the service of a tyrant.

The Green Berets, Rangers, SEALs, Force Recon, Para-rescue, etc. are very, very white, IIRC. Don’t have any idea why.

Do you know how many LEO and military would side against the government depending on the circumstances? The ones that would wish to turn LEO and/or military against the citizens don’t know the answer to that question either. That alone will give anyone planning such a thing a reason to pause.

The military is not a bunch of programmed robots, they are just like the non-military, for every issue there will be those that agree and those that don’t. Each one of them has a line that they will draw in the sand, that line is different from person to person just as it is for civilians. If our leadership attempts to use the military against citizens some will follow the leadership and do whatever they are asked to do. Some will leave the miltary and fight for the civilians. Some will figure out how to get some of the weapons and other supplies to the civilians as well. No one can possibly know how many will do what unless/until we reach that point. The not knowing how many will do what is a big problem for anyone wanting to use the military against citizens.

In the very early seventies, being an infantryman, training involved riot control. With Woodstock, hippies and all that,it was not uncommon to be trained to hate these anti Americans, and prior to any ]New Studies],there were many soldiers that would not hesitate to open fire on there own countrymen. My take is that after many family members who were killed, will have a very profound impact on the soldiers whose families were decimated from their own fire. It is a very slippery slope.God bless them all!!!!

Rules for Liberals and Libertines:

Defeat your enemies while they are young.

- Do in the public schools.
- Begin with a "Head Start" program.
- Teachers are your propagandizers.

Neutralize the parent/caretakers.

- Do that with healthcare.
- Make it expensive.
- Make it pay well, medics are your helpers.

Control colleges and military

- Fill them with religious gays and atheists
- Supply contraceptives free.
- Train them to kill without conscience.

Top off the old guys.

- Take away their guns.
.(They're not afraid of dying.)
- It's too late for them to change.

maximum effective range was only about 25 feet (less than 8 m). At longer range, the bullet would begin to tumble. ............................. We need to drop something similar to these in Iran. Forget the fp-45, its cheaper to send High Point pistols with a greater clip capacity than these pocket derringer type. The cost of producing FP-45s has gone up, the replicas are expensive as hell. Heck I’m sure the freedom loving Iranians would take even a Jiminez, Raven or Jennings and be grateful to have it.

“The Left has controlled the schools (at all levels) since at least the 1960’s. Almost everyone that goes into the military comes out of the public school system. I graduated high school in 1978, so I wasn’t nearly as indoctrinated as the kids today, although I saw signs of it in the 70’s, with the “stop pollution” and “save the whales” jazz.”

I graduated in 1973, enlisted the same year. Retired in 1997, after 24 years on active duty in the USAF. At the end, I was (among other things)teaching “Law of Armed Combat” (LOAC) or what they used to call the Laws of War. We did a fair amount of time on the duty to disobey unlawful orders.

I'm still in touch with people on active duty, as my particular ward is the one for Tinker AFB, and I'm not seeing any evidence that the current force is all that sissified. Not just USAF, either, as we've got Navy folks here, too. Got a couple of cousins still in the Army, as well. Not hearing anything from them that would make me doubt them, either.

That said, I expect that you will find, in any military anywhere, folks who will go along with unlawful orders. I'd expect that to be much less than half, but possibly as many as a third, but that is just my opinion, and you know that they say about opinions...
