Here is a video report by Richard Engel with a U.S. Army Stryker Brigade in Afghanistan, showing the struggle they face in dealing with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), which are the primary cause for increasing casualties in recent weeks. This Stryker Brigade has lost nine men in three weeks, all to IEDs. They are serving in a Taliban stronghold area south of Kandahar. . . . (VIDEO)

I’d like to see a bunch of the Congressional Democratz in Afghanistan. After all, they are good at slithering around in low places; they could search out the IEDs using their forked tongues to probe the ground ahead. Besides, if one got blown up, there are plenty more to replace that one.

I just get so upset at each news story about ied’s and our soldiers dying and being injured. Isn’t there any answer to this? It seems in this high tech age there would be some invention, some way, something to stop this. If we haven’t found the answer, I would think Israel would have by now.

Many very small robotic critters have been invented to seek out IEDs, some to locate them and some to both locate and destroy them. I don’t understand why we aren’t hearing about their use in combat areas. Their cost seems easily covered by the savings in lives of our service men and women. It almost makes me think that someone wants more U.S. deaths to further an agenda. Pretty damn sick if true.
