From California, still as ever the land for fruit and nuts, a California-legal (they thought it couldn't be done) AR15. Except for the lower receiver, a kit to follow every twist and turn of California law, just so it can use a 20-round magazine blocked to ten rounds, and a "bullet button" rather than nuts and bolts to fix the removable magazine.
A California bullet-button is a magazine release that can only be activated by the tiny point of a live round, not a natural human finger.
This will probably be looked back with nostalgia compared to what they have in mind for Bushmasters (every EBR is now a "Bushmaster", just like AR15s are "Armalites" in Northern Ireland). This abomination may soon be the "good news" of a "good news/bad news" deal.

(Overkill Never Fails)
It is amazing the contortions people will go through to get around a rule. That would be heartening except it is also the lengths people will go to conform to oppression.
