It's sleek, it's fast, and it's reinforced with a ton of bullet-proof Kevlar armour.

The mean-looking Ady Gil is the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's newest weapon in their ongoing battle against Japanese whalers.

The trimaran - previously known as Earthrace - recently set the world powerboat record for circumnavigation.

So how long have you been vegan/vegetarian?

You are, aren’t you? If you’re not...don’t you feel like a hypocrite every time you sink your teeth into an animal that someone else killed for you?

Maybe the Japanese whalers should just pay someone else to do their killing, like you do...would it be ok then?

I bet every time you eat portions of a cow you never consider how a Hindu person might feel. Don’t you know how unnecessary it is for you to consume cows? Using your logic you should stop consuming beef delicacies immediately.

I find cow delicious, myself. As for exploiting loopholes...isn’t that also known as complying with the law? Kinda like how rifle manufacturers/importers “found a loophole” in the AWB...no wait, they complied with the letter of the law.

And in breaking news, the Russian whaling ship Ivan Rogov responded to an emergency radio call from the environmental activist vessel Ady Gil. It appears that the Ady Gil had a major engine room fire. The Ivan Rogov attempted to conduct a speedy rescue by sending an Mi-24 Hind helicopter to pick up the occupants, however it did not arrive on time. The Ady Gil went down with all hands.

These tinker toy tubs might make good target practice for the Japanese Aegis class destroyers. Question is how many anti-ship missiles will it take to dent one of these invincible lefty POS? Will mines work? How bout these babies: RIM-66 SM-2MR Block II surface-to-air missile, RUM-139 vertically launched anti-submarine rocket, the RGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missile, two Mark 15 20 mm CIWS gun mounts, two torpedo mounts in a triple tube configuration, and an Oto Melara 127 mm/54 caliber gun. Its Mark 41 vertical launch system can hold 90 missiles.

Inquiring minds want to know the truth!

I wonder if it's been tested against a high-powered harpoon?

Oh, like a Harpoon missile?

“...exclusions of pirates on the high seas as well”

executions of pirates on the high seas as well - pirates are legally called “hostis humani generis”.

So what the heck are they gonna do with it, ram the whaler? More likely run into the whale, which would be sweetly ironic.

Just because it's got a Kevlar skin doesn't make it bullet proof, just light. It take multiple layers of Kevlar plus they need to be lose not coated with some kind of epoxy.

I keep hoping the Japanese will sink the sink and machine gun the crew, but that is just me. Pirates deserve to die and he is most definitely a pirate.

Goes without saying, hunters are some of the best stewards of the environment.

Unfortunately, it only goes without saying for us in the club. Our kids are being lied to for 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Don't cha know the polar bears are all gonna die.

Who said anything about piracy? Pirates take over ships and crews.

Watson does not do that. I am a conservative but I support Watson. PS: I loathe Al Gore and other fraud enviros who are actually on the Saudis payroll to insure we never have access to our VAST domestic energy sources.

Killing whales for a delicacy ...

That’s as may be, but does not give the eco-terrorists any right to endanger ships or their crews.

You forgot Genesis 1:28, and it recommends that humankind should breed like rabbits non-stop.

I do not want the United States to have 1 billion people.

If there was no Roe vs. Wade, and there were say, at least 8 kids to one family, we'd have a billion by now, 2 billion by 2050.

The show Whale Wars is one of the favorites in our house. We have renamed it “Hippies Failing Badly”. It is one of the most entertaining hours of the week watching the incompetent boobs get lost, get each other hurt and whine incessently. Truly must-see T.V.

Some species of Rhinos had become almost extinct. In fact one group was thought to already be extinct, when a group was discovered and relocated to a protected area. They are making a comeback in protected areas. Regulated hunting is a means of animal population management. I have no problem with REGULATED hunting.

I have no problem with REGULATED hunting.

And there is the answer. In areas with regulated Hunting, Hunters pay large sums to local tribesmen for the safari. Also Rhino come with huge trophy fees such as $500,000 or more. In many areas, the trophy fees are split between the tribe and the government. A poacher can get $50 for a Rhino horn, (and feed his family for three months.) When tribes are getting 200K+ for a Rhino, you can bet Rhino's are well protected. Like I heard one Namibia official put it, "You will never find a poacher in Namibia." I take that to mean, if one would attempt to poach there, they will end up in an unmarked shallow grave.

I like Canadian Capt Paul Watson of the Sea Shep Society. He had major battles with the Sierra Club saying they were essentially shills for the DNC who wanted open borders. The original Sierra Clue was against sprawl and open borders.

He was ousted from Greenpeace because of his policies of violence.
