Darwinism and the adoption of Chinese Marxism
According to James Pusey, writing in Nature, "Charles Darwin's banner was first unfurled in China during the Reform Movement of 1895-98, in response to China's defeat in the Sino-Japanese War." There were two groups seeking change: the reformers, who were loyal to the Manchu Qing Dynasty, and the revolutionaries, who wanted a clean break with the past.
--snip--
The reformers and the revolutionaries debated vigorously "with both sides wildly waving Darwin's banner" The leaders of these movements imbibed the message of scientific racism coming from America and Europe and presented themselves as 'fit' to rule...

Ideas do travel, either in response to the failure of the old ideas or acceptance of prevailing views of the more powerful as when a country is conquered and occupied.
China's awakening to the outside world was probably a fair amount of both and Darwinism would make a workable antidote to the first and a palliative to the second.
Psst!...The book burners are their way!!

What’s ironic is that I hear that scientists are actually functionally freer to question Darwinism in China than they are here in Western nations.

....so you blame the first gunmaker for all deaths at the working end of the gun? This first guy that made gunpowder?

Speaking of book burners:
Why I Published a New Origin
By Ray Comfort
When I discovered that the famous On the Origin of Species was public domain, I decided to publish it myself and write an Introduction and give away copies of the book to university students, in honor of the book’s 150th year of publication.
But when Kirk Cameron (my TV cohost on The Way of the Master) and I produced a short video clip explaining what I wanted to do and posted it online, we kicked a hornet’s nest. A big one.
Why are many atheists so angry? Why are they talking about book burnings, threatening to resist the giveaway and rip out the Introduction, etc.? Why was richarddawkins.net encouraging people to collect copies and rip out the Introduction? ...

Hey, we are just reviewing your evo-religious buds over at Science. Indeed, one of the things Creationists and IDers appreciate about the Temple of Darwin is that they make our job so easy :op

China is nothing. When Genghis Khan conquered virtually all of Asia and much of Europe in the 13th century, he did so in the name of the Great Charles Darwin.
Above: Lands where teaching of evolution was mandatory.

Little known fact: mass murderer Jeffrey Dahmer murdered and ate 17 men and boys because all opposed teaching science in public schools. Dahmer, who had taken biology classes in schools, was motivated by a fanatical loyalty to Charles Darwin.

Fascinating fact:
On April 14, 1865 evolutionist John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Abraham Lincoln during a play at Ford's Theater in Washington. In the second act, Lincoln was seen laughing at a line in the play, "Our American Cousin" which mocked Darwin and the then new theory of evolution. Enraged, Booth grabbed a derringer pistol and shot the President.

Yes, I saw that. And some still say Darwinism isn’t a religion....That Comfort fellow... How dare he?

I’m convinced male pattern baldness is also a byproduct of Darwinism. And probably gingivitis as well.

On March 14, 44 BC Julius Caesar proposed that Roman schools teach the controversy: teach both Greco-Roman Pagan Creationism alongside Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Brutus, a fanatic Darwinist and tenured professor of Marxist Zoology at the University of Brundisium stabbed him the next day.

Charles Darwin.

Im convinced male pattern baldness is also a byproduct of Darwinism. And probably gingivitis as well.Charles Darwin died of a heart attack at a time when heart attacks were relatively rare. More people died of things like cholera, tuberculosis, etc. As belief in Darwinism has exploded, so has the incidence of heart disease. Obviously, Darwinism hardens your arteries.

LOL...you gotta love his audacity!

You neglect to mention that the Bubonic Plague in medieval Europe was caused by irresponsible alchemists taught by.. you got it. Charles Darwin. Are you sure? Because I'd read that the Plague, like Swine Flu, was a curse from God upon the 1/3 of Europeans who followed the evo-religious cult of Darwin. Native Americans were spared, because all of them were pious Creationist Christians.

Native Americans were spared, because all of them were pious Creationist Christians. There is no concrete biblical evidence of this.
Unlike the documented biblical FACT that Darwin shot all the dinosaurs as they exited the Ark.
