He is a punk.

***

How so I don’t recall any aggressive behavior from him?

He is wise to be still, gone are the days to want to clear things up and talk to the police..

Trying to verbally cooperate in this climate is not conducive to one best interest.

In todays world we don’t who is who there are too many borderline sociopaths in normal employment.

And Rachael just happened to be in Melbourne at the same time Tiger was there too.....

Sounds like, “I did not have sexual relations with that intern......”

"because they are smart, that's why. Good for them. Talking to the police can only result in someone being arrested, and as a guess that would be bad for the marriage."

"likely not, even if he was DUI, if his use of car was necessary to save his life. I can't imagine a jury convicting anyone of DUI if they just drive a block or two to escape death."

Your two answers above, although accurate, do raise additional questions. First, while it's smart not to speak to the police about the incident, it's not necessarily without peril for Woods' driver's license. Most states, including Florida, have something called "implied consent" with respect to traffic accidents. While you may not be compelled to speak to police about your collision (Fifth Amendment, and all that), they state may use your silence as a reason to strip you of you operator's license. They would for any other motorist in a similar circumstance. It will be interesting if they do so for Woods.

You may also be right about the DUI conviction. OTOH, at the risk of sounding like Obama, the police have acted stupidly in this regard. How can any competent investigator rule out drugs or alcohol in an accident that is so incredibly suspicious - the near destruction of an SUV, a fire hydrant and a tree, all within 40 yards of the driver's front door, and a single vehicle accident to boot. It screams impaired driver. A blood draw should have been required. It was an injury accident, after all.

And, if Tiger's defense is "I was running for my life", then he's implicating his wife in DV case. Again, if this were any other perpetrator/victim, people would be at the station house awaiting the arrival of their attorney. There's no spousal privilege in DV cases. Tiger would be forced to testify against his wife. It happens ALL THE TIME in DV cases all across the country, every day.

I dislike gossip mongers they have nothing better to do in life but to tear another person down thinking it will make themseleves feel better.

If Tiger stumbled is it my business or even yours?

I do know that he is very disciplined to be very good at what he does as a golfer.

People should be working hard themselves to do their best and not look to others weakness to feel better!

What about giving a false statement to the fuzz? If Nordegren lied to the cops, is that a criminal offense? Maybe they're more worried about her heinie than his?

A) He's a public figure. And that's by his own choice.

B) He's also big business, and the big bucks involved mean more attention.

It's complicated, but the short answer is no. Lying to the Feds is a Federal crime, but in most states - including FL - lying to the police isn't. Of course, obstruction of justice is a crime, and she could theoretically be charged with that, in addition to the DV.

I've said this a lot, but this isn't FHP's finest hour. The fact of the matter is that this is a single car, late night/early morning injury accident and their wasn't a blood-draw done. That's poor police work. Even if they didn't detect the odor of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants could clearly be in play here.

Also, any rookie cop would have been suspicious of a DV. And, FL law is specific here - if the responding LEO has reason to believe that violence has occurred between two domestic partners, an arrest must be made. The fact that this has gone on now for three days with no statement to the police, reflects very badly on FHP, IMHO.

When Tiger operates a motor vehicle so recklessly that he ends up destroying a fire hydrant, a front yard and a neighbor's tree, yes, it's our business. And, Florida law is clear, domestic violence is not something that the police can "look the other way on", at least not for us mere mortals. Again, it is our business.

What caused this altercation may not by our business, but the fact that the altercation occurred is something that demands an investigation, commensurate with what the police would do for ordinary citizens.

No other golfer in the PGA would be stiff arming and stalling the cops for 3 days and 3 visits by the cops.

Can you imagine Phil Mickelson pulling this crap?

Here is the essential part of the story for me. As I understand, police are required to make an arrest in cases of domestic violence. Women's groups pressured Congress to pass laws requiring arrests. In many cases, women were arrested because they committed violence although in most cases there were no serious injuries. It seems that the investigating officer should have known that this situation involved domestic violence and an arrest should have been made. The combination of Woods facial lacerations and the usage of the golf club to shatter the rear window are probable cause for an arrest.

I do not understand the reports of his unconsciousness. I am puzzled how the accident could have caused him to lose consciousness. Perhaps he was beaten with the golf club. This incidendent seems serious as a case of domestic violence. The police have not done their job to make an arrest with ample evidence of domestic abuse.

I agree with you on this

It is not a good situation to be for Tiger

If she is like that bet it is not frist time.

She most likly caused the accident as he was driving away

Agree 100%. The interracial dynamic is powerful catnip for both parties involved. Just a generation ago this kind of stuff was nearly non-exitant and frowned on. Except in Hawaii...lol
