Don’t be so hard on Americans. Things were a little hard at the time and they thought they were getting something better. All the talk of change bamboozled them into doing a collective bottom-burp. Now they are seeing the obvious truth that Presidents come, and Presidents go, but America’s strategic interests do not alter very much. Zero cannot much change the things he promised to, even if he had the political power and intestinal fortitude to do it. The function of the POTUS is to put a human face to the strategy and provide an emphasis. Unfortunately Zero is bad at poker, and most of the world knows by now that he is only holding four cards to an inside straight.
Thank GOD!!! Great day for Democracy!!
Sorry, but that statement is blatantly false.
In 2006 we had the highest level of employment in history, and the terrorists of the near and middle east had been neutralized. - All the negatives were the result of turning congress over to radical leftists that sabotaged the strong economy by promising crushing tax increases, and heavy regulation of business. That left business no choice but to begin cutting staffing levels, which resulted in cascading mortgage and credit card defaults, which brought down the creditors that had managed to smooth the bumps of sub-prime lending that socialist laws had created.
The American people are greedy, and stupid. Offer them bread and circus at 'government' expense and they go for it every time.

WASHINGTON (AFP)—The United States is “disappointed” that Honduran lawmakers failed to reinstate President Manuel Zelaya, who was ousted in a June coup, a State Department spokesman said Thursday.

BRAVO to Honduras!........and our “state” dept belongs upside-down in a jar of urine!
So have they demanded a recount yet? LOL!
Congratulations to every Honduran citizen who stood firm against the arrogance of the "international community."
How can you say the statement is blatantly false, and then in two searing paragraphs show it to be completely true?
Let me modify it slightly. “Things were PERCEIVED to be a little hard at the time and they thought they were getting something better”.
Bet they are rueing the day now...
