Tiger Woods Admitted to Hospital as OD Posted Dec 8th 2009 1:00AM by TMZ Staff

Tiger Woods was admitted to Health Central Hospital the day after Thanksgiving as an overdose.

Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ the admissions chart lists "OD" and that he was having trouble breathing.

We're told the fifth floor of the hospital was put on lockdown when Tiger arrived. Tiger was admitted under an alias -- William Smith. His wife, Elin Nordegren was by his side.

As we first reported, Elin gave paramedics two pill bottles at the accident scene -- we now know the prescriptions were for Ambien and Vicodin. Tiger was in and out of consciousness, snoring at the scene, and our sources say he clearly appeared to be under the influence of something -- not alcohol.

We're also told doctors used a breathing tube to assist his respiration.

We're also told hospital officials changed Tiger's alias after a few hours to another alias because they feared people would find out he was there.

So, it’s possible that all of his dalliances came to light because he was “sleep driving”?

"That second alias -- 'Lee Trevino' -- was, in retrospect, an obvious error in judgement."

If Tiger had to be intubated, yet was discharged the same day, it would have had to be against medical advice. Does anyone know whether the 5th floor is ICU?

I’m confused. Is it six or eight ho’s that causes one to OD?

A real ambian addict. He needs to detox from this garbage. Look for a confession session with Oprah within a few months where he fesses up to sex addiction and abusing prescription drugs

HIPAA is only there to make sure relatives of a patient can’t make sure the patient is getting adequate medical care.

The last count I heard was 9, but that was several hours ago.

Check out the other post about a 911 call to his house and a blonde being brought in on “life support” last night but was released a couple hours later. Is it just me, or do the Woods’ seem to make fast recoveries.

ROFL.

A third potential alias -- "John Daly" -- was discarded when it was learned that a fellow by that name had already been admitted for identical symptoms (including a golf club stuck in his cranium) earlier that day. It was Mr. Daly's seventeenth visit to the hospital for similar symptoms in the last five years.

“Look for a confession session with Oprah within a few months where he fesses up to sex addiction and abusing prescription drugs.”

BINGO!!!!!

It will go something like this.....

“The pressure of being the greatest golfer and world’s best known sports figure was enormous. I found myself drinking more than I should. My surgeries brought narcotic pain medicine in to my life. As any expert will tell you, being under the influence of these substances can lower inhibitions. That is what happened to me. I engaged in a pattern of behavior that I would have never thought possible. It caused me to be unfaithful to my wife. I’ll regret that for the rest of my life. I have stopped drinking. I no longer take the pain medicine. I am thinking more clearly. The past is the past. I can’t change it. I am committed to Elen and the children and to a bright future.” Tiger Woods

Vicodin contains an opiate narcotic, hydrocodone, which, " when taken with alcohol....can intensify drowsiness. It may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, as well as other drugs that cause drowsiness." [e.g. Ambien]

But they can’t seem to dig up basic public records.

Yep. The Golf Digest is with Obama and Tiger Woods is real. I guess the target audience of Golf Digest are Democrats.

It is amazing that Obama has time to pose for golf magazine covers with celebrities yet take 1 year to come to a decision on supporting our troops in Afghanistan.

Next year, when Tiger misses a clutch putt, Johnny Miller will breathlessly intone, "Maybe Tiger's a little tired from all that extra activity".

Or, "That looked like a drug induced missed".

Or, "Tiger's mind doesn't seem to be on his golf game".

That is exactly what HIPAA did with my grandson -when he was no longer able to be responsible for his care (brain tumor), with the paper work signed properly- my son could not get the needed information on appointments etc. The answer was alsays “We have informed him, you will have to ask him”. Would it have made a difference? We will never know. We buried him a week ago.
