Morning, Dixie. I know you do - cats are very popular at Amy's Place. They're such entertaining and fun and independent little things!
My bet is they’re Republican cups!!
I am excited to death over this election. Sure hope we don’t have a let down and for some reason, I don’t think we will.
The horses will be fun. I finally got a post finished...F.R. was down and I noticed when I did get on you had posted your lovely horse graphic! Beautiful! I’ll be in and out to see the horses and post one or two!
We didn’t even get a flake but stayed in the 20’2-30’s for 2 weeks. 62 and sunny as we speak! Woohoo!
Thats so cute and reminds me of a poem Jack Deth posted about cats on horses backs. I sorta thought it was Conor as he did post some poems about cats but for the moment I’m thinking Jack. Help, guys!
We would get a little break long enough to get to the store or drug store and bang, it was falling again. I don’t drive in it much at all. If my street looks fairly clear, I will go out for a little while. We may be through with snow but you never can tell. February is a cold month for us.
I noticed that FR was down the first time I tried to post the opening today, and for me, it is running terribly slow. I will reboot and see if it helps. Sometimes it does, and sometimes I do think that FR itself gets sluggish - maybe today because of the election bringing more people? Don't know, but I'll be back. :)
Yeah, we’ll get more cold. That was the most/longest coldest spell we’ve had in 20-30 years, if not longer.
"Bad news. One of our main servers has crashed again. John is now trying to bring it back up. He just got home around 4:00 am this morning from fixing yesterday's crash and looks like he's going to have to turn around and go right back. When it rains it pours. Jim"
I do enjoy doing the tables and I had a teacher (you) who would not give up on me! Even when I was mad and wanted to quit. I truly didn’t think I could learn to do tables and sometimes wondered why I wanted to stress my mind that much...LOL! I’m glad you had patience and I finally got it.
I went to that other F.R. site and they were saying they crashed yesterday and today. Yesterday I was having a tough time and just quit for a while and later in the day, it was running really well. Its slow today but they’re working on it. Be back later!
We had some mornings that were 4 and 5 degrees. Could not get the house warm enough. Our high may have gotten up to 14 or 15 on thsoe days. Those were days I could not stand.
A server was down and it could happen again..Your opening is beautiful and so is the poem..Love horses..BBL to post one.
So beautiful, jaycee. It will be 70 more or less for the rest of the week....but winter will surely return!
Me, too, Billie
We didn’t get that cold. Glad of it! Hate to see my electric bill for next month, but I am NOT complaining. Having no money is better than having no heat any day! LOL
I love those republican cups too :)
I’m praying for Brown of MA too, did you see there’s already been voter fraud spotted
Nothing would surprise me in this election. The only way they can win is to cheat and lie. Sorry, but its true!
Horse lover dittos Billie!
More pictures please!
Mornin’ Billie. Heavy rain falling in our little corner of the world with more of the same predicted over the next few days. At least with the rain, I don’t have to shovel the sidewalk and driveway like we used to do when we lived in snow country.
Spent the weekend up in the Sierra foothills near the town of Twain Harte with the entire dd family. That was after spending a few hours in the hospital on Friday morning getting an spinal injection. Got a little pain relief on the right side but not the left.
Beautiful graphic of your scenery, complete with a perfect frame, and snow softly falling! :)
This is so sweet, yorkie! Is it still raining there? Had any snow yet or do you expect snow?
It is a beautiful horse, Billie!
I love your horses, Amy, they are just gorgeous!
Hoping you can get more relief and soon, DD.
I just got back on and posted to you, yorkie! Thank you for your compliment. Snow is beautiful but it can leave you sorta in jail for a while. I always feel like God slows us down now and then when he knows we need it.
Wonderful graphic, Meg!
While I like the ponies and the song, y’all gotta quit with having snow in every picture. You need to do snow pictures in July and tropical pictures in January.
Now that’s a good picture for winter.
Thank you Meg. We are really getting drenched!!!! So far we have power, and no flooding here. I understand in Northern Calif there have been high winds!
So true, JC.
That reminded me of one of my favorite verses:
AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD
Yes, it snowed yesterday, with great big flakes, for about an hour. (Of course it melted right away.) Then, it rained a soft drizzle the rest of the day.
But, the sky is getting very dark right now - something is coming in from the west.
Oh yes, yorkie! Perfect verse for those moments when we are stopped in our tracks. What a darling little graphic!
I heard some ladies talking about bad storms on their way...do you know if thats in California where Lori and Amy live? They live in different parts but they were discussing winds and storms, etc. My computer is once again running so slow just like yesterday afternoon. Just for that, I think I will take a little nap.....LOL!’
I think the business in Massachusetts could cause computers and programs to mess up. I can’t wait to see how it comes out. They’re not doing exit polling so we can’t even get a clue. Hope they don’t start that cheating that the Dems do so well. See ya later!
When I was Precinct Chairman, we had an equal number of Republicans and Democrats at the polling places. Each watched the others!
But, now, with all the corruption in (ahem) a certain party, the computers may be hacked to go the way they are so desperate for!
We’ll know in a few short hours what the ‘outcome’ is.
Grin...I had a productive day planned but I am frittering away time..waiting on the election results....and that will be a long wait!
Good news...I watched some of your news on the weather channel earlier..I lived in Ca during a long drought...but found any measurable rain in Ca can cause flash flooding.
Here is my contribution to the horse/snow theme today - a pair of beautiful Clydesdales....
Exhaustion got the better of me today and I slept through breakfast and lunch, so dinner is on me tonight.
pastry shell filled with crab meat and cheese
meat balls batter coated and lightly fried to perfection, with dipping sauce
Shredded greens and pan seared squash, beans, and carrot slices, with a light balsamic vinegar tarragon dressing
Steamed lobster tails, with drawn butter
English Shepard’s Pie (meat, veggies and gravy under a layer of mash potatoes)
Garlic Mash potatoes with a rich brown gravy
Mini loves of fresh 9-grain bread with whipped honey butter and assorted preserves.
Chocolate Mousse filled Eclairs with cashew crusted caramel topping.
After dinner there will be a fine brandy and cigars by the fireside for those connoisseurs, and for those less inclined to brandy and cigars, there will be a selection of Sherbets and a delicate blending of wine and fruit juices as we chat the hours of the gathering night away in companionable indulgence.
That's a beautiful view you have out your window.
I heard about the Orange County tornado. Was it near you? Be careful!
