Doesn’t get any cuter than that, Kitty! If I ever got in that position, they’d have to call the Life Saving Crew...LOL!
A man who has been my mentor and friend for many years often says that his goal in studying the Bible is always personal application. I appreciate his emphasis on putting learning into practice, because its too easy for those of us who study, discuss, teach, and write about the Bible to take a merely intellectual approach to the Word.
Oswald Chambers said: There is a danger with the children of God of getting too familiar with sublime things. We talk so much about these wonderful realities, and forget that we have to exhibit them in our lives. It is perilously possible to mistake the exposition of the truth for the truth; to run away with the idea that because we are able to expound these things, we are living them too.
James reminds us that the person who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does (1:25). The key issue is not what is preached or written, but what is done.
When I study Gods Word, my first question should not be, What am I going to say about this? but What am I going to do about this?
Bible in One Year: Exodus 31-33; Matthew 22:1-22
Think I will have the bacon, eggs, toast and juice! And I noticed you have the Chocolate Rum balls so put away a couple of those for a mid-morning snack.....I’m hungry!
Thank you for this message in our DB today. Always a help to my day. Wishing a good day for you, Rus!
“If I ever got in that position, theyd have to call the Life Saving Crew”
Back in the days I practiced martial arts, I was very flexible. Try that today, and I’d likely lock up in a Gorgon’s Knot, (and some smart a$$ would just stick a hand lettered sign with ‘Defective India Rubber Man’ on it, and lean it against me like a side show display!)
This is so wonderful and I want you to keep all of us well informed.
LOL! In my younger years...(way back) I was a cheerleader for 5 years, 2 in Jr.High and 3 in High School. I was small and the one they threw around a lot, like up in the air, etc.
We didn’t have the rules then that they have today and we made up our acrobatic jumps and tricks...LOL! Somedays when I have all these aches and pains, it makes me wonder! But all the fun was worth it! Love my “good old days”....LOL!
I have to say, some of the stuff cheerleaders did (even in ‘My Day’) were both eye popping and simply amazing. I now have a niece who is a cheerleader at A&M, and she has been injured several times. She’s small, so she’s one they toss in the air, and she loves it! She tells me she has to do fifteen minutes or more of stretching exercises before a game just to be flexible enough to do the stuff she does, without risking injury from just the excessive motion. Serious work for what looks like simple fun!
If I ever got in that position, theyd have to call the Life Saving Crew(JC)
This is the Yorkster BEFORE coffee, this morning!
Oh, thank you Johnn!
I’ll have the lovely toast (dry), and a small serving of that fruit (plain).
On second thought, I’ll have the bacon wrapped steak with bernaise sauce and the hashbrowns with LOTS of butter!
I just LOVE coming to your table in the morning!
Polly, how exciting! I have been watching the hummingbird nest web cam that Meg posted last week, and I am enjoying it imensely! (http://cam.dellwo.com/) I think the fledging will be the most thrilling to watch!
We were having a BBQ at some friends’ after church (many years ago), and a baby robin (not quite ready to fly) fell out of the nest. Their lab immediately ran for it, but I was closer, and stopped the dog.
I picked up the scared little bird, and held it until it’s heartbeat slowed down. Do you know, that bird stayed by me the whole afternoon. It’s wings were ready to FLY, when we drove away, and it followed our car for some distance. (Brought tears - fer sure!)
Ain’t life grand?
I’m running a little late this morning.
Due to fog, school has been delayed for two hours. When hubby takes Marissa to school, I will ride along as shotgun because we have to cross a busy semi-highway. An extra pair of eyes and ears helps.
If the Yorkster is that good before coffee, what in the world happens after the coffee?????? If I could do what that old lady is doing, I’d get to work on this house.....LOL!
Cute smile and a twinkle in his eye in that picture. :)
We were in Dallas a couple of weekends ago and having dinner at a Red Lobster with some friends.... good conversation and good food.... when all of a sudden over the speakers came a familiar song: "Just To Feel That Way", which is another nice one from his Taylor Hicks cd. Made me smile to hear his voice somewhere other than my own speakers. LOL
Nice....very nice! I need a hero today.
My computer is running so slowly....I may have too much open or it could be F.R.! I thinks its been going in and out yesterday evening and earlier this morning!
Meant for my last comment to go to both of you all. Thanks!
Thank you, Kitty. Glad you enjoyed them.
Shame your little white kitty can't get comfortable. :)
How unusual for Taylor’s song to be playing during dinner at Red Lobster. Did you mention to your friends or just enjoy in quietness? (I love Red Lobster)!
Thank you. That little dog just looks like a hero to me. :)
I saw where you were ordering dry toast and fruit (plain) and I thought to myself “There’s somethin’ wrong there”...LOL.... and then I saw your second selection and figured you were kidding.
Oh, heck! Yes, I mentioned it - they know I'm silly about him. :)
P.S. Red Lobster is not my favorite restaurant because I’m not a seafood lover, but there is always chicken or steak. I usually order the chicken alfredo over linguini, but they had a brand new wood-grilled chicken in a sweet wine sauce they’d just added to the menu and it was excellent!
What I *should* do, and what I *do* do, is always two different stories. LOL!
Absolutely understand that one!
Good morning, Kitty.
Last night I felt like if I didn’t get Marissa in bed I would soon look like your goodnight kitty. :^ )
Thank you for the cute, pretty graphics you share with us.
How are things going with the King’s Ranch addition?
What a sweet opening this morning! Billie, that dog graphic is adorable!
If I could do that, I could eat all the chocolate that my body craves. : ^)
Happy WF Wednesday, Yorkie.
Happy WF Wednesday, Polly!
How is everything in Southern California? Are you and hubby doing okay?
This is wonderful .... do you have a link?
I missed breakfast this morning. :(
I’ll have the mid-morning snack .... extra helping of the Chocolate Rum Balls.
Thanks for feeding us so well, JOHNN.
That’s all you would have needed,eh?
Picture and song-just wonderful! Thank you! Trying to hold back the tears!
Well .... if I would do that about 100 times a day it might do the trick.:)
Good Morning, Tiapam. Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.
Congratulations on posting your first graphic on ... was it on Monday?
You did great!!
That baby hummingbird is mooning us!!!
Thank you, Jaycee.
Billie brought us another winner!
I noticed that too, Amy. I’m addicted.
Yikes! Wish I could get my left leg even an inch off the ground.
