Fellow FReepers, please join me in prayer for the health and recovery of my Uncle Paul, and for his wife Nancy and the rest of the family. Thank You.

Please continue your prayers. There has been a setback, a complication of reducing blood thinners to enable evaluation of the tumor. My Uncle has had a heart attack, I am not sure how severe. He is on his way to Minot by helicopter where the cardiac crew is the best in the area. Please pray that the damage is slight and his recovery uncomplicated. Please also remember the family in your prayers, especially Nancy.
Thank you all for your prayers, past, present, and future, and may God abundantly Bless each and every one of you.

With care like that, heart attacks, even more than merely mild ones, are very survivable.
I'll tell a little story, by way of encouragement.
My cousin's husband, around 65 y/o, was hiking in the Grand Canyon last summer. He had a heart attack while down in the bottom of the canyon. They, meaning the guides, thought it was heat stroke, but in any event they could not get him out the canyon that evening. They may have, and probably did, give him aspirn while down in the canyon.
The next morning they got him out, presumably by burro or something, and to a ranger station. Once there, it was determined that he had a heart attack, not heat stroke, and they helicoptered him to Flagstaff, where is was determined that he needed to go on to Phoenix for treatment. I believe they ended up doing a triple or quadruple bypass.
With a couple of weeks he was back in Omaha, walking around the block as the begining of his rehab. He continues to do just fine.
So take heart. God takes care of the Good Ones. He also takes care of those with Good FRiends.
