MISSOULA — A Missoula man is dead after police attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a home where a kitten was found severely abused earlier this week.
Officers arrived to serve an arrest warrant at 2419 38th St., shortly after 1 p.m. today, but the man inside would not come to the door.
The warrant was for aggravated animal cruelty charges related to the case of the abused 4-month-old kitten found at the home Sunday night after neighbors reported screams coming from the residence.
A Missoula police officer talked to the man inside the home on the telephone before approaching the house this afternoon, but the man would not come to the door.

What a sad soul. Animal abuse - pet abuse, especially - is a sign that the person has some deep, deep issues going on.
It's a shame that this guy couldn't manage to man up, take the consequences, get help for his problems, and lead a life that God would be proud of.

These little animals are trusting, helpless and friendly. To then abuse them as described in the articles on this case....I can’t describe it as anything but true evil. Mental illness, hard luck, bad childhood...blah blah blah. This comes from the darkest, most vile place and there is no excuse for it.

Compound predicate adjectives ... but the pronoun’s antecedent is unclear.
For the record, I think it’s terrible that the cat was abused, and that the man killed himself.

Reasons are not always excuses. I tried to explain that to my kid the other day. A really sweet girl tried to explain why a friend was “cutting” herself and he ended contact with her because he said she was defending the girl. I told him that might not have been the case. I can tell you why we are all deserving of hell, but that doesn’t excuse our actually being guilty of sin. We all belong in hell, and there is an individual reason for each of us. The cruelty to the animal is a symptom, and the diagnosis is not a reason for forgiveness.

This story get weirder and weirder.
Part of the cats head was shaved (what the heck?), and he tried to drown her in the toilet. Then he loses his temper with the cat, and basically stomps her to death.
My gut tells me was shaving the cat for some creepy reason, and the cat didn’t like it, so at first he tried to drown it? silence it? in the toilet? and when the cat must have made its displeasure known, he lost his temper with it.
I have no idea what happened here, and I’m not sure I want to.

Well why don't we? The cat abuser is dead. He abused the kitten & was a jerk. He was most likely mentally ill & didn't want to face the outcome of his actions. Or go to jail. Where cat lovers might abuse his sorry arse. I do animal rescue, cats, horses & dogs so I really have no feelings for animal abusers whatsoever.

The hearts of most men may have evil tendencies, but for many they are just pure evil. To wish that anyone spend all eternity in Hell is a pure evil all it's own, quite likely a far worse evil than even abusing kittens. Thankfully we all have the ability to accept God's redemptive mercy up until the instant of death, just like the man in the article had the ability to do so. We can't know whether he did or didn't before he died. That said, someone who would wish Hell on another person on a public forum probably hasn't accepted God's mercy himself. I humbly suggest that you start by praying the Lord's Prayer slowly and thoughtfully. I'll be praying for you.
To: Ronaldus Magnus
There’s the old saying, “God have mercy on him, because I won’t.” In the end it’s up to God anyway despite of what we want.

Theres the old saying, God have mercy on him, because I wont. I have no idea whether that saying is old, but it certainly isn't very Christian.
In the end its up to God anyway despite of what we want.
You have complete say over your own salvation. God loves us so much that in the end he will give us what we want, even if what we want is an eternity without him. By refusing to forgive that pathetic man in the article and wishing him to Hell, you may be well on your way to making that choice for yourself. We all need repent of our own sins, and we all need to forgive the sins of others.
