Sudden disappearance of Deep River scientist mystifies colleagues

TORONTO - There are still no leads in the case of an eastern Ontario scientist who disappeared without a trace last month, leaving his colleagues mystified. Lachlan Cranswick hasn't been seen since Jan. 18, when he left work at the National Research Council's Canadian Neutron Beam Centre in Chalk River, northwest of Ottawa.

His nearby Deep River house was reportedly left unlocked and his car was in the garage. His wallet, keys and passport have all been accounted for......

Hi there, RR --- I was so shocked when I happened to stumble upon this news article, as I'd heard nothing whatsoever about a nuclear physicist gone missing, much one of his obvious calibre, and in Ontario -- that is where Adnan S. and his buddies stole radioactive material -- I haven't even begun to do a search on the 100s of discussions on TM about Saudi pilot A.S.

No, what I meant is that nobody reported it internationally waaaaaaaaaay back around January 20th, when he'd been missing for 2 days.

A nuclear physicist!!!

In ONTARIO.

And only local reportage.

The FOX report is current, not from back at, or near, the start.

I guess there is a MURDERER who took this disappearance off the radar of the Ontario news --- and guess what I read?

The man who murdered 2 women, and stole all the news time has a father AND a stepfather who work at the same nuclear facility as Lachlan Cranswick did.

Eeerie.

The whole story is just creepy, there's a whole 'intuitive' nasty feel to it.

I wasn't able to find anything about Lachan Cranswick on the forums at Free Dominion

At Websleuths I got confused because they refer to the Craigslist postings as being written by his brother -- but the postings themselves express anger at being a Canadian in a country where essentially NOTHING was done to locate Lachlan Cranswick.

Anybody know anything about Scientology -- evidentally, on his personal website he wrote quite a scathing condemnation of them. Wonder how he knows their systems well enough to comment extensively?

Then, too, the websleuths discussed that there are a couple Chinese scientists who evidentally wrote a fraudulent article and he publically called them out on it. That's near the end of the long Websleuths messagethread.

I haven't read his work on Dead Scientists in years, it's so depressing.

I wonder if the Canadian authorities checked into anything about the Chinese immigrant community in Canada?

Apparently there are 2 researchers on MAINLAND China who wrote an article which was fraudulent, and he exposed them.

Sure hope that his disappearance isn't connected to some type of 'face saving' action & retribution by a humiliated pair of Chinese families - and all their exended members.

IF he is a victim of homocide, and if he was dumped into one of the nearby rivers or lakes, will that make identifying the cause of death virtually impossible if his body doesn't wash up to shore really SOON?

Does submergence in extremely cold water preserve OR destroy such evidence for forensic examiners?

Articles today state that the Hamas terrorist assassinated in a Dubai hotel was murdered on January 19, 2010 and today's news contains a strange tidbit about a group of Australians allegedly involved in the targeted assassination who left Dubai in a boat headed for Iran.
