Al Gore Mocked At Apple Meeting: He's 'Become A Laughingstock'
Newsbusters.org ^ | 2-27-10 | Noel Sheppard

Posted on 02/27/2010 12:29:00 PM PST by Justaham

Nobel Laureate Al Gore was mocked Thursday at the Apple shareholders meeting in Cupertino, California.

As the subject of whether or not he should be reelected to the tech giant's board of directors surfaced, one longtime shareholder stood up saying, "[Gore] has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted."

According to CNET, the gentleman then wisely said, "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected" (h/t Gateway Pundit via Glenn Reynolds):

Gore was seated in the first row, along with his six fellow board members, in Apple's Town Hall auditorium as several stockholders took turns either bashing or praising his high-profile views on climate change.

At the first opportunity for audience participation just several minutes into the proceeding, a longtime and well-known Apple shareholder--some would say gadfly--who introduced himself as Shelton Ehrlich, stood at the microphone and urged against Gore's re-election to the board. Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted," Ehrlich said, referring to Gore's views on global warming. "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected."

Of course, if Gore would have lost his reelection bid, I'm sure he would have asked for a recount!

This is the most I have miled in a long time, watching this bstrd taken dow. After all he has done to frighten people in this country and around the world to soak them for “carbon credits” he should be dragged into the town square and flogged...

IMHO, Gore would not have invited this so strongly if he had been a little less of a hypocrite.

Your statement is applicable to Nancy Pelosi and Obama as well as Gore. Traipsing around in government planes for dates and family accompanyment at taxpayer expense is not the stuff that shows respect for the hard work of taxpayers toward their folly.

Speaking of this thing, Cindy Sheehan, I heard some guy on ABC radio this morning, substituting for Kudlow (not familiar with Kudlow either) talking about this book called “Americans Who Tell the Truth”, and that it is being used in schools to teach our children...here’s a link to a site about the book and a couple of comments from a comment page about those who ‘spoke the truth’ like Sheehan, Van Jones and others, whacko’s and commies, making personal statements that were added to the book..just sickening what is being indoctrinated in children’s minds!

http://www.americanswhotellthetruth.org/

Comments: this one mentions Sheehan and the next one Van Jones, Pete Seeger....

09/18/09
Personal statements from Truth Tellers added
I have asked the living subjects of the portraits to write statements about how their commitment to fighting for justice came about. About 25 have responded so far & these statements are scattered throughout the pages, posted right next to the portrait. If you look at page 6 of the portraits, 7 of those people have the statements up — including Lily Yeh, Diane Wilson, Hal Crowther, Natasha Mayers, Ann Wright, Cindy Sheehan, and Bruce Gagnon.

8 New Cards being Added!
In the next few weeks we will be adding 8 new cards for purchase: Pete Seeger, Terry Tempest Williams, Van Jones, Lily Yeh, Harry Hay, Judy Bonds, Major General Smedley Butler, and Emma Tenayuca

If you click on ‘Portraits’ on the sidebar you can see all these so-called ‘truth-tellers’, like I just found one of Woody Guthrie and had no idea why he wrote “This Land is Your Land”..

bunch of sickies going way back I guess, haven’t checked out all who are in this book, just saw Harry Hay, and his lover was Will Geer from the Waltons..what??

I think it's very significant that AlGore won't acknowledge the death of his global warming scam that Americans won't buy.........just as Obama won't acknowledge the death of his HellCare bill that Americans don't want.

The important thing is that they know their con games aren't flying, but they plod ahead ignoring reality and facts. They have both thrown down the grim gauntlet of "you people out there will NOT stop us from accomplishing our agendas."

This abnormal behavior indicates to me we have two sociopaths in control of two very powerful movements. They are continuing to beat dead horses with all their might and main....determined to push on and cram their programs down everyones' throats despite the wishes and will of the citizenry.

These men are not normal. Their followers in important positions such as the combined congress plus their cult followers are just as psychopathic as they are.

This is scary stuff....but too many humans in this country don't know or don't care what and who is negatively impacting their lives and fortunes.

Thanks for the link. I would like to know by what margin Gore was reelected. Despite that ‘victory’ he’s got to live with the fact that he was called a ‘laughingstock’ in a very public venue, and that the incident is flying around the Net like wildfire. I wish he’d take the occasion to reevaluate his position, but that’s unlikely.
