As one of many who served on the front lines in a very unpopular war .. because my country asked me to, I have become nothing more than a shadow of that once proud, young man.
Tonight I sit here, older, wiser and with a heavy heart .. for I no longer BELIEVE in my country.
For all my brothers in arms .. I am so sorry for what we have become.

Three of my uncles fought in World War Two. Two were at the battle of Bulge and the other was a gunner on a B24. If they could they would spit in Obamas's eye. Since they no longer can I will do it for them.
There are many with much bravado and I can understand that.
How many of you have faced an enemy that was so powerful so well armed and so overwhelmed your sense of mortality that you Pissed Your Pants?
My friends .. THAT is what you are going to face, If and When the time comes!
The difference between what I faced and what You say you are willing to face is .. Your enemy is going to be Your Brothers and Sisters!

I’m serious - the idiots in DC have no clue what they have brought down on their own heads on this night. We will previal.
When we Southerners take a stand there is no quarter asked and none given.
And next month will be two years for my best friend’s brother who was killed in Iraq. What would we say to them? The recent defenders?
The first americans merely faced an army. We face our own ignorant lazy citizens being used by traitorous lawyers and politicians that have the law, the courts, hollywood, the UN, and the MSM on their side.
There’s no way to fight that legally when we have so few assets in DC.
Have a drink, have a smoke, go to bed depressed...Lord knows, that’s what I’m doing!
But wake tomorrow and fight again. They can’t beat us till they kill us, and they can’t kill us all!

It seems like we have been doing battle over this for longer than I care to think.
I know what is coming next, (amnesty) and I guess that when you get to my age you get tired, faster.

Another poster thought that the veterans on FR were taking this harder than most. Thinking that what they had shed their blood and tears for was lost. I can share in their grief. But only for a little while until someone like sss (southern sun shine) makes such a worthy and hope-filled post.

I won't guess your age as it is not important. I just turned fifty seven but I still have a lot of fight left in me. Win or lose we can still say we didn't buy into the bullshit. In the end that is all that matters.
Are we going to say we were beaten by a handful of people? Remember that only a few votes dragged this into law and it took a year and lots of chicanery to do it. So we can’t fault America or Americans. Instead, we should be proud of how we stood up.
Instead of feeling bad, we should be THINKING of approaches and ways to keep our friends and family members from falling for the propaganda campaign about to take place.
For instance that much touted “right to privacy” - well isn’t that violated when our health choices are monitored by the IRS? What about keep your hands off my body, etc. etc. Turn their own arguments against them every chance you get.
And remember that they are not the majority. Remember and remind that this barely passed in an unseemly way after having been pushed on Christmas Eve first and now at Easter time. We are living a parable of sorts.
Please. We need to act victorious even in defeat...that is what worked for Pelosi. No matter what happened or how absurd it was, she smiled and said we are winning...eventually she won. What you say and insist is true will eventually be brought into being. The person who WANTS IT THE MOST....that is who will win. WE WILL WIN.
I know how you feel. I told the kids to take down the American flag outside and put up the Gadsen one.
When America becomes the country it was intended to be by the founders, free and respectful of individual rights, I’ll put it up again.
Thanks so much for the welcome:) I can soooo sympathize with the vets. Lost my dad last summer who proudly served with the USAF for 25 years. He joined on 12/26/1944 at the age of 17. His and all his brothers legacy will not end this way!!!!!

No, the first Americans also faced friends and loved ones who didn’t want to leave their king and country. They faced charges of treason and execution, and all for a government that had never been tried before.
Democrats just love to hear all this defeatism rhetoric, which only serves their purpose of demoralizing the opposition.
