Tea Parties.
Limbaugh/Levin.
Blue Dogs.
Anti-Abortion Dems.
Yeah, whatever.
Nothing Accomplished.

Yawn.

Nothing accomplished. We keep losing every battle. All indications are, with immigration “reform” and more than 50% of Americans (and climbing) dependent on government, our votes could be diluted to nothing by 2012 (assuming we have a real election), the way things are going.

B-Chan, a prolific and wise Freeper, is right. It’s going to take the system collapsing financially under the weight of its own absurdity for real change to happen because Obama is correct in his judgment: The vast majority of Americans will bend over and will not seriously fight bigger, fatter, dumber government, including so-called "conservatives."

It'll take a financial crisis.

You know, if folks like you were around during the American Revolution and had any credibility, neither you nor I would be Freeping at this very moment!

it’s not as much repeal as dismantle and refuse to fund...for now

if we win we can do that

the Dems woulda done that to Bush’s tax reforms but they knew it was bad politically

if the polls are to be believed....killing nationalized healthcare will be popular....they can run on it

still it sucks but it’s not yet Stalingrad

“B-Chan, a prolific and wise Freeper, is right.”

Are there two people with the same name? This is the lamest crap I’ve heard in a long time. Go join the DUmmies. We have 37 states lining up to kill this bill and will sweep the trash out of Congress in 2010 and the WH in 2012.

Where do you limp dycks come from? You awill not be on the short list for the Winston Churchill award this year, pal.

“Well said. The defeatism around here was irritating before Obamacare passed. It’s dangerous now. The enemy has committed a classic strategic blunder. Like Napoleon in Moscow and Hitler around Stalingrad, Obama has overreached and occupied ground he cannot hold. We need to exploit his mistake, not moan about his advance. It’s time to cut the enemy’s line of supply, surround his forces and exterminate them. That’s what the next two election cycles are all about. The new contract with America can consist of just one word. REPEAL!”

HAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, right. It’s just like sugar quotas. A new constituency of freeloaders will be created and expanded by this and resist it. GOP couldn’t tie its own shoes, much less fight the Leviathan that has been created under Democratic and REPUBLICAN control over the past few decades.

Fix is in. The rest is kabuki theater.

There are none so ignorant as those who posture as being "wise".

Pity you are so ignorant of history. Your sort of "wise" man was posting this same sort of Chicken Little "prophecies" about the US in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and now here you are yet again in 2010 posting the same "Oh woes is us" doom and gloom nonsense.

Defeat takes place in the mind. Sorry you are all ready defeated.

Do us all a favor and wander off and wallow in your defeat.Quit wasting our time, and bandwidth, with your ignorant defeatist posturing.

We Freepers have much more import things to do with our time then listen to your childish angst.

If a real Winston Churchill arises, I’ll support him or her wholeheartedly. I don’t see one, and please don’t tell me Palin. Look at Alaska. What did she accomplish there to reduce that state’s dependence on government?

Someone said very wisely on another thread last night (wish I could remember where?) that a leader is born in the grassroots, did the politician start the Boston Tea Party? Somewhere along those lines, Im looking for quote.

Dear manic depressive, news flash, the Supreme Court will toss this legislation. It is clearly unconstitutional. And the rats over reaching so far will be their doom in 2010 and 2012. Cheer up the financial collapse you want is coming, China will most likely pull the plug sooner rather then later.

Good Gawd!

Why don't you grow a spine, you candyass lemming!

Instead of handwringing and whining and waiting for a leader that you can FOLLOW, why don't you STAND UP FOR CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES and FIGHT!

Caps on purpose...

If not, then there should be. This thing isn’t even NEAR over.

In a big way, this is actually the beginning. Now people who don’t usually pay close attention see that DC politicians don’t listen to the people. That their voices don’t matter. That their opinions are null and void if it comes between a leftist and his/her power. And that’s bound to piss off quite a few people who were ambivalent before.

Add to that the inevitable SCOTUS challenges and a major election in a few months, and it comes out to looking very, very ugly for the Dems. They may still pass amnesty and cap-and-tax, but they’ll have to do it the same way, and each time will be another bullet they’re pumping into their own heads.

So, what are we looking at here? The soap box is completely useless. The ballot box is next, and with amnesty, that could be nullified. So that leaves one more option, one that Americans have been preparing for en masse ever since Dear Leader was elected.

This isn’t over by a long shot.

Some seem to be lost looking for purity in candidates and others upset because nobody wants to talk the Birth Certificate Issue and yet other because they want to give up to easy fighting.

Well I am not one of those. I only want Rinos gone, but right now is a time to be united in opposing the left.

I see the lessons of 2006 and 2008 still have not sunk in with the 100%er crowd. Only God is perfect. Nothing of men ever is. Demanding perfect purity in Politics is a sure prescription for political irrelevance. This is why the Libertarian wing of the Conservative movement has been so completely ineffective for the last 20 years. This is why you people always lose to the RINOS.

You all keep wasting all your time making the perfect the enemy of the good. You are so busying spending all your time worrying about the dogmatic purity in your political allies your never have any time, or energy left to fight the Leftists on anything. You are so busy factionalizing your political base into competing interest groups, you have nothing left to ever fight the progressives. No wonder they continually kick the your asses in election after election.

As one famous Conservative leader said " A man who agrees with me 80% of the time is a trusted friend and ally, not a 20% traitor"

Curious what these sort of ideological purist would of said about a President who presided over a worse recession then this current one, appointed a Liberal to the Supreme Court, Raised taxes 6 times, doubled the size of the Fed Budget in 8 years. Spent, prior to this regime, record deficits. Ran away from a Muslim terrorist threat. Signed an illegal Alien Amnesty. Lost control of the US Senate to the Democrats on his watch.

What would you say about that? Using the sort of purist dogma exposed on this thread, and every other possible thread daily, I suspect, you would be screaming "RINO" at that former President and assigning him to rank down there with Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, U.S. Grant, and Warren Harding as one of America’s worst Presidents because he did not pass their personal ideological purity test.

That President was Ronald Reagan. Probably the greatest President of the 20th Century.

Reagan had words for your sort of ideological 100%er.

By Ronald Reagan in his autobiography An American Life

“When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn’t like it. “Compromise” was a dirty word to them and they wouldn’t face the fact that we couldn’t get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don’t get it all, some said, don’t take anything. I’d learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: ‘I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.’ If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that’s what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it.”
