Many wise observers have pointed out that the key is to watch his actions and listen less to his words. Certainly good advice with respect to the point you have made.
Reading the posts on this page also brought something else to mind -- "Common Sense." Not the pamphlet but the basic usage; it would only be the simple application of common sense for the framers to specifically add the Natural Born Citizen (born a citizen of citizen parentS) requirement to protect the Presidency from any potentially inherited foreign allegiance. It is a purely a common sense, highly practical, and very wise choice for them to have made. In that light, it is very easy to see that the original intent of this very specific requirement was to provide as a form of protection from usurpation.
And hence that leads me to the next point. As you may have seen in some of my other posts on the questions surrounding the very remarkable and often dramatic "anti-birther" efforts that we read daily, I have been struggling with trying to find a rationale for these efforts (i.e., to be able to rationalize them with the fact that they are being mounted by self-proclaimed "conservatives" with only the "best of intentions"). I've listed some of the key areas where the attempt to perform this rationalization just simply breaks down, and other have also contributed many other very germane points. What I have missed all along is the simple fact that none of it passes a simple "Common Sense" test.
So common sense is the key on both fronts:
To me, it makes it all very easy to understand now. Thank you all very much for your contributions that finally penetrated my simple mind that all too often tends to over complicate issues to the point of distracting me from the very simple and obvious conclusions that are sitting there at the end of the nose on my face!

Defectors in the military is nothing new. In more modern days we had John sKerry who sold out his former comrades including this guy's father. Where I come from we had a guy with the name Fritz Clausen and our neighbor country they had a more well know name Vidkun during WWII. I see close similarities of some "posters"(?) here to keep their dear leader in power at any costs by ridicules!!!
Yep -- I have seen translations of French works of the late 18th century posted here where "naturel" is translated "natural born" and "indigenes" is translated "natural born citizen".

If you put ALL of the people in a line-up to which he's bowed, the Saudi King is TRULY Obama’s master. People were concerned that JFK, the first (and only) Catholic president, would be submissive toward the Pope. I've seen no historical evidence of that. However, with Obama — who attended an Islamic school as a child in Indonesia and whose father & step-father were both Muslims — Obama seems to have fawned far more over King Abdullah than Pope Pope Benedict XVI.

I think you are right to suggest that Obama will use the powers of his office ruthlessly to protect himself. As a malignant narcissist, there is nothing in the universe more important to him than himself and how he is perceived by others. And Eric Holder will bend and break the law for him.
This is certainly suggested by the way he got elected to office several times in the past, using his Chicago crime connections to eliminate all of his opponents in several races for state and federal office.
He doesn’t have a body trail nearly as long as clinton’s, but there are certainly a few coincidental corpses out there, most notably the guy he paid to clean up his files in the State Department, who was about to testify.

And that is why it harms conservatives to tolerate you - because tolerating drivel such as that makes us all look like nuts. That isn’t being PC, but reasonable - a person who tolerates the views of a crazy is tainted by the craziness.
I will make an exception for El Gato, who argues the birther case with both reason and passion. His posts are worth reading and thinking about. But the rest of you are nuts!

You claim to be a Conservative, yet the legal precedence of Original Intent
by the SCOTUS seems alien to you.
Since the definition of “natural-born Citizen” is confusing to you,
how does Mr Rogers define “Original Intent”?
Or is the Constitution a living breathing document that’s altered — not by
the Constitutional amendment process — but by the events of war and
peace and the whims of those in power at that moment?
Please show us what you “know” as the Conservative you claim to be ...
