The government per se doesn’t have the expertise....But it doesn’t mean there’s not a new government UNION behind Door No 2.

I believe the USA has been not only negligent but deliberate in holding back effective ways of preventing the oil from reaching the shore.

I would say both but they don’t give that option, so I didn’t answer.

Its the CLEANUP.

Obama’s failure is not stopping the leak, but the lack of urgency in containment and cleanup of it.

The buck stops at the big guys desk!
EPA should have had a hand in regulation but when its out of control, its up to the big guy. Where is BP’s insurance? Where are partners? Where are other industry pros?

Only one problem with that bureaucrat, debate will go on for another 52 days , then another 52 days to solve the problem and in the meanwhile the Gulf is already destroyed.

Obama is in way over his head and should call Cheney for advice.

I notice that "The Laws of Physics" is not one of the options on that poll.

I surmise that the poll was fabricated by idiots who know nothing.

The US voluntarily took on the role of regulating offshore drilling.

Once the oil began heading toward shore, it became Obama's responsibility to protect the environment and the American people from that oil.

Obama should have made the decision to send the cleanup bill to BP AFTER he took steps to protect us.

OILGATE
It's not about BP's costly leak.
It's about Obama's stingy cleanup.

According to this EPA law, BP is liable and the President is responsible.

http://www.epa.gov/Region7/laws_regulations/CWA/section311.htm

(c) Federal removal authority.
(1) General removal requirement.
(A) The President shall, in accordance with the National Contingency Plan and any appropriate Area Contingency Plan, ensure effective and immediate removal of a discharge, and mitigation or prevention of a substantial threat of a discharge, of oil or a hazardous substance—
