I can play music, every thing else works but no sound when playing youtube videos. Need Help.
There is a volume control on the youtube video screen, to the right of the progress bar. It might be muted.
Often it’s as simple as the mute is on or someone turned down the volume in one of the menus.
Has anyone got a “Downfall” clip of Hitler ranting about how he has no sound when playing youtube clips?
Are you logged in?
(I’ve always wanted to say that)
Sometimes I have had to reboot when I have had that problem.
Youtube banned Downfall clips about the time he made the comment about plugging the hole. Coincidence?
You stole my line.
*All* the volume controls in your computer universe have to be turned up some...including the little speaker icon down in the lower right. You might have to visit “control panel” and diddle with things.
YouTube banned Downfall clips? For what reason, copyright?
Is your sound out completely? Or is it only on youtube?
If no sound at all, then it could be your sound-card on your motherboard isn’t working.
Try plugging in headphones and see if your sound works through them.
Does the no-sound issue happen in any browser you use? Sometimes I could not get sound in Firefox but could in IE. Try another browser and see if that works. Could be that you need to update a plug-in or something.
THANK YOU I GOT IT FIXED..I worked the problem for 12 hours and googled and tried everything I could fine. The volume was turned down on the youtube menue. I’m a DUMMY!!
Are you trying to stream something else on the computer while you’re playing YouTube videos? If so, stop what you’re streaming and then re-load the YouTube video and see if the YouTube sound works.
For some odd reason, I can’t get audio from YouTube videos if I’m streaming something else on the computer at the same time.
Yes. The company owning the rights apparently complained about all the free publicity.
As for the sound, I had that problem for awhile when Flash did not keep up with OS updates. The other problem I’ve seen involves sound codecs and is something I’m not qualified to attempt to describe over a chat.
Is it turned on?
Is it plugged in?
Is the volume turned down?
The only reason I rented Downfall was due to the Youtube parodies.
Oh , good, I carefully worded my reply so as not to limit your searching for the problem.
Yeah, ain't it a hoot?
Listen, you hear that?
It's P.T. Barnum rolling in his grave ("No such thing as bad publicity!"
Sometimes the only way I hear about something is from a youtube spoof.
Don’t feel bad. It’s happened to me, and I still can’t remember turning the player sound to mute, but I must have.
Sometimes it’s the most basic fixes that we totally ignore while pursuing all sorts of complicated solutions.
Wifey was just wondering last night if there we any new Hitler Rants about Obama’s Katrina; didn’t see any.......we love ‘em, and hope the trend hasn’t died.
It usually means that the cat has walked across the keyboard.
