WESTMORELAND COUNTY -- Pennsylvania State Police are trying to piece together the puzzling death of a motorcyclist in Westmoreland County.

According to police reports, William Mark Amos, 47, of Export, was riding on Route 819 in Salem Township when the deer crossed into his path on Friday morning.

Sounds like the deer put him out of his misery.

By the way there was no need to say he wasn't wearing a helmet, since a helmet would not have saved him from a bullet in the head, and probably not from the accident of hitting the deer. but they always like to say Motorcyclists died because they didn't wear a helmet.

I have this vision of the cops standing over the scene, scratching their heads and wondering “What the Heck....”

The biker’s history may provide some clues. CSI, here we come!
