It should be noted that these are NOT wolves native to Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, or any other state minus Alaska, for that matter. They’re Canadian gray wolves introduced to the lower 48 where they were never native. These wolves are MUCH larger than the native timberwolf—reaching up to 180 pounds as opposed to the native timberwolves 50-60 pounds. They also hunt in large packs, whereas the timberwolf only hunted in pairs.
It’s the equivalent of unleashing a pitbull into a poodle fighting ring.
Quite frankly, every single one of them should be destroyed before they do away with the native timberwolf. I’m sure you’ll find, however, that the wolf protectionists would scream to the moon about such an idea from their enclaves in NYC, Boston, DC, and SF.
The best way to deal with this wolf problem would be to introduce these Canadian Grays into the streets of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Good. They were driven off once they will be driven off again.
” Good question, and why arent the enviros concerned about the elk?”
1) Wolves oppose humans and are thus seen as heroes.
2) Wolves kill livestock and drive ranchers out of business. Thus, they are heroes.
3) Hunters like elk. Hunters should be destroyed. Thus, environmentalists don’t care about elk.
4) Wolves limit the economic viability of communities throughout the West. Thus, they are heroes.
5) Wolves provide environmental organizations millions of dollars in funding and funding, and thus are heroes.
Because there are no oil/gas pipelines.
