Gun Owners of America (GOA) is described as "extremely radical" in Department of Justice document
Bureau of Justice Assistance (DOJ) ^ | Version 1.0 September 2005-2009 | Mark Pitcavage, et al.

This Bureau of Justice Assistance (U.S. Department of Justice) document is entitled "Investigating Terrorism and Criminal Extremism - Terms and Concepts” and includes a reference to GOA, a gun rights lobbying organization. I have seen GOA mentioned on threads here, but I am not personally familiar with GOA. I believe that the right to self defense is a God given right. The Constitution should protect "the right to keep and bear arms" (firearms and other weapons usable for self defense), but that right is currently being "infringed" at all levels of government.

“Everyone at the DoJ needs to be drug tested. Psyche evals concentrating on borderline personality disorders would be good too.”

DOJ?
Is that all?
How about all of DC?

I’ve been a GOA member for a couple of years now so I guess I’m on the “list”!

A couple of weeks ago, a male nurse that I’ve never seen before, stopped by to check on my mother who is under hospice care in our home. He engaged me in polite conversation before leaving and out of the blue he asked, “where can I meet up with some militia people?” He has since quit that job without notice and left the area from what we understand, but it looks like I’ve been tagged.

GOA is a guns-rights, political organization, as opposed to the NRA, which is largely an educational outfit with some political concerns about guns. GOA, unlike NRA, tips to the right. (NRA tries to remain “bipartisan” by clamoring for any Democrat who doesn’t openly do everything they can to oppose gun ownership.) Founder Larry Pratt is also the founder of English First, which advocates English as the official language. It has 300,000 members, all of whom (unlike NRA) are members because they want to become politically active.

Even Wikipedia has no mud to sling at GOA. My guess is they’re playing eighteen degrees of seperation: GOA = Larry Pratt = English language movement = Immigration reform movement = Minutemen = alleged vigilantes.

I have been under surveillance three times that I know of. Once was when I contacted the CIA and volunteered for mercenary duty in Cambodia in 1969, before we were supposed to know that the US was involved there. Once was for joining a gun club in New York in the mid 70s that was on the FBI watch list, and the other was when my brother killed the two game wardens in 1981.

I don’t remember seeing black helicopters, but multiple tails, blacked out running lights, and home break ins were common place.

My sentiments exactly! If a patriotic organization is not drawing scrutiny in this day and age, they are not very patriotic.

In all these posts, there isn't one mention of Second Amendment Sisters, which was born right here on FreeRepublic. That's a bit disheartening........

We continue to grow, and we have taught literally hundreds of women across the country to shoot, as well as being included with the "big boys" at certain speaking events....

We're holding a ladies to learn to shoot day on Oct 2, hear Austin, Tx, if anyone is interested in joining us. We provide everything needed: guns, ammmo, one on one certified firearms trainers--everything that is needed for a fun and educational day at the range.

If you're interested in coming to this event, please freepmail me.
