Unbelievable. And most neighbors who let their dogs poop on the lawn are liberals. In their heads their is probably some pathetic excuse about how they are in a rush so its ok, this 400th time...I have dogs, and never leave the house with less than 6 bags. I prefer to walk on side streets on the pavement, so the dogs won’t go until we’re home. Some people are just lazy scum.

We had one neighbor who get their panties in a wad when other neighbor’s dogs use their yard as a bathroom but yet, they take their dog for a walk and not show the same consideration.

I don’t blame the woman getting p!$$ed off !

LOL!

Well, being a chronic dog walker, sometimes mine goes on somebody else’s lawn, but I always carry plastic bags, which I use to pick up the mess right away.

I had an incident once a while back at which time I learned that people get very upset when large (or small) dogs mess on their lawns, so I try to be as courteous about it as I can, but my dog insists upon being walked.

Go for a jury trial. Many of us have had “that neighbor.” I’d vote for acquital - and a medal!

We walked our doggies too and cleaned up after them as you do. But our own yard had data pods we missed. I asked Hubby what the secret data was and he said “Don’t step here”.

If she was charged with a misdeamor it will only be about a hundred dollar fine. For a hundred bucks I think she may have solved her problem with the neighbors dog doo.

Regarding the cast iron "NO!" sign of the dog pooping?

I start my dogs' walk by giving them time to do any business they want in MY yard. Then we walk.

My neighbor on the corner (five houses down) was working in her yard one day when I was walking my two dogs . . . and of course, one decided to hop up on the curb and poop in her yard, about a foot from the curb. I carry plastic bags, scooped the poop (you would never have known the dog had been there), and continued.

The very next day, she had one of those "NO!" signs stuck in her yard, right on the corner.

I can understand not wanting a dog to poop in your yard, but I don't have complete control over it.

What angers me is that her family has owned TWO outdoor cats for the 20+ years they've lived there, leaving the garage door open about a foot, with food and water inside.

The cats roam the neighborhood, obviously pooping where they please, and leaving dead birds where they please. I fail to see how her letting her cats poop in other people's yards - and not picking it up - is no problem, while my dogs occasionally pooping on her grass and me picking it up is such a problem.

Not a fan of cats. My dogs love them! Cats are a good choice for those who only want a pet half the time; but then they shouldn't own pets if that is the case. Any flower or plant bed that allowed squatting space would get dinged by these lovely creatures.

I wonder if that’s so. I imagine they’re thinking she deserves it for dumping poop in their yard ...... never mind it’s their’s to begin with.

RE: “There are some dog owners ... that purposely have their dogs poop on YOUR property. They furtively look around to see if anyone is looking and if the coast is clear, you get the pile of poop. The plastic bag is saved for another walk. People are lazy. Some even think it’s funny to have YOU clean up THEIR dog dirt. I’m not justifying her behavior but I can understand it. BTW, we love dogs too!”

*************

I guess it’s the same everywhere — people here purposely take dogs out in the dark of night to avoid others seeing that they don’t pick up the poop. Disgusting! Others carry the bags openly and only pick up if they know someone is watching during the day.

I don’t blame the woman for delivering the dog’s business back to the owner. I think I’d have put it in the mailbox, though.

And here in L.A., there’s a move afoote to allow people to harbor MORE dogs and cats than ever — the limit was 3 dogs per home and now they want to make it 5, or MORE. Probably changing cat limit to 10 or more. Usually none of the pets are licensed nor have they had their shots.

Pets are expensive and a big responsibility and people who have no business having them want more — unbelievable.

BTW, I love dogs and have ONE dog who is the most spoiled girl ever — also expensive due to health issues - she is up to date on shots and license - you name it. Yet I am the mean one on my street because I speak out against unleashed dogs, poop left on lawns, and lack of licensing, etc. Go figure...............

There is a blind guy in my apt complex that takes his dog out (just like the one in your pic). He can tell when his dog is pooping by touching the dogs back. He then inverts a plastic bag, picks up the poop, ties it in a knot, and goes back to his apt. If a blind man can pick up dog shit, there is no excuse for anyone else. People are just inconsiderate.

I used to work at a building in an artfully landscaped office park. There was an older “gentleman” who we suspected lived in a nearby retirement community who, every day, would drive to the office park in his Cadillac, take his pooch out on a leash, and let it do its business on the office park grass.

People would ask him to stop but he would just load up the dog and drive away.

One day he had the singular misfortune to take his doggie out in full view of the landscapers who maintained the park. They all chased him back to his car - still carrying their rakes and hoes.

Old man and mutt never came back after that.

Just returned from walking the dogs (a pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - after about thirty years, I finally got something other than my beloved Shelties).

Passed a yard that reminds me there's another hypocritical pet owner in my greater neighborhood. About two years ago, one of my dogs stopped to 'water' a lawn, and this lady came running out the front door to demand that my dogs never pee on her lawn again.

Now, as we pass that house, we cross to the other side of the road, or pull the leashes close and keep the dogs off the grass.

Within weeks, I found out that the man who walks the vicious Doberman (snarls and snaps at people and dogs so that the owner has to cross the street or grab the dog's collar when there are other people around) and the enormous mixed breed IS HER HUSBAND.

In other words, HER dogs are being walked, peeing enormous amounts in the yards of strangers . . . but it's an enormous offense for one of my little dogs to use her yard as a urinal.
