Have any of them been fair-minded enough to learn anything? Are they still locked into their naysaying attitudes and perspectives on the topic?

Doing a little searching I found it mentioned in Louis Ginzburg's THE LEGENDS OF THE JEWS (free online at link).

Have you studied it and, if so, what do you think of it?

This is why the question on the other thread was so important. If what these military officers saw was arranged by fallen angels/demons then they where being deceived. And if we are now making a big issue out of what they saw without pointing out that this is a deception then we are adding to that same deception.

I would also like to ask your opinion of the R.H. Charles translation of I Enoch. That is the translation I have used so far. Do you approve?

The R.H. Charles translation precedes the Isaac translation in Charlesworth’s Pseudepigrapha by a century. The latter includes exhaustive commentary and comparisons between the manuscripts.
So, IMHO, you’d be missing a lot by using only the Charles translation. That said, I have not yet read the 2004 translations. They may be even better than Isaac’s but the great advantage of Charlesworth’s is that Enoch is set in context with many other ancient manuscripts which were informative in their day. Among these are Enoch II and Enoch III.

The report was not polished as if it were practiced to perfection and I have absolutely no doubt that this was totally honest. The sad fact that this is one of the biggest stories of the millinia but they were treated like dirt by the national news media. All I can say is stay tuned, as the truth will ultimately come out. Gods creation is unlimited.

If you are going to study Enoch, I strongly suggest Charlesworth's Pseudepigrapha because it includes many scholarly insights, footnotes, the other two Books of Enoch and has the latest translation. Often what you find on the internet is New Age and that based on pre-Dead Sea Scroll era translations.

I would heartily agree, AND would recommend his companion volume for the New Testament Pseudepigrapha as well... I own both volumes. The book of Jasher is a must read too, as it adds greatly to some of the concepts found in Enoch.
