The McRib is back.

This morning, McDonald's announced via its official Twitter account that its storied pork sandwich would return to locations nationwide in a few weeks.

"Turns out we're not good at keeping secrets. The rumors are true. McRib returns Nov. 2 for a limited time," the post read.

In another Twitter post, McDonald's noted that this marks the first time McRibs have returned to restaurants nationwide in 16 years. The sandwich has made encore appearances in different McDonald's markets in the past few years.

Re: Shamrock Shakes

Back in High School I used to go in when friends were working and had them give me a 50/50 mix of the chocolate & shamrock... I miss that...

That was years ago...It was 100 percent chicken, then 42 percent, now it’s zero. However, the chicken juice does contain trace amounts of real chicken product.

The McDLT was the best sandwich they every made. I think they stopped making it because they got too much flack over the large double compartment styro container.

Yes, I do remember the McDLT. Not bad at all and a shame that it was discontinued.

What I really wish they would bring back are edible French Fries. Ever since they made them “Healthy” they really suck.

Other than that: God Bless McD’s, may Gov’t leave it alone.

Has it really been 16 years? I can remember the McRib like it was yesterday!

And November 2? The day the Republican / Conservatives come back and the McRib comes back. Can life get any better?

Hasn’t McRib been on and off since about 1975. I remember Arsenio Hall making a joke about them being gone that I can’t get away with repeating because I’m not black so that had to be about 1986.

McRibs are probably made from this stuff:

Mechanically separated chicken (and pork)

Aren’t clam bellies sort of ... gritty?

(Or maybe the clams are supposed to be “purged” in a bucket of cornmeal prior to cooking.)
