Bristol Palin Eyeing Big Money Deals Post-'Dancing'

By Rob Shuter

Nov 29th 2010 03:03PM

Bristol Palin didn't technically win 'Dancing With the Stars' last week, but financially, the 20-year-old mom is paso doble-ing all the way to the bank.

"Bristol made over $345,000 from being on the show and currently is getting $35,000 for each speaking gig she does," an insider reveals to me. "Yet, all that is going to feel like pocket change if one or two of the big deals she's currently working on actually happens."

Palin family friends tell me there is a major deal in the works for Bristol to be the spokesperson for a middle American fashion brand, as well as a book deal and a multi-million offer to appear on another reality show.

Thanks for posting that, many have poor memories when it comes to the Bush twins.

Looks like Bristol has some career choices ahead.

Yes, I'm happy for her. Bristol drove her truck all the way back to Alaska. God bless her...

No, she’d be working Dairy queen supporting her out of wedlock child.

She'd still have a job, getting her hands dirty. She wanted to marry the guy who knocked her up but apparently the guy wasn't man enough and bailed out on her.

I place more value on her upbringing and circumstances than an only daughter with a questionable father & privileged upbringing that has been shielded by the media throughout her life (Chelsea)

"Very different than being reality show stars."

Stipulated. Like I said, on balance they deserve some respect, despite having some fairly typical "foibles" early in their collegiate experience.

Doesn’t change the fact that this has become opportunist and tacky.

I would do the same if I was in Bristol's shoes and wouldn't give a damn who thought of it.

“All the Left had to do was leave the Palins alone and there wouldn't be no Bristol dancing or Sarah contemplating a presidential run and sticking her nose into the issues and mid-terms.

But nooooo...the Left had to keep poking at that grizzly bear.”

LOL! True enough, but “that grizzly bear” gets them ratings! They don't just publish articles with “Palin” in the title because they love/hate her, she gets them views / hits/ reads/ ratings.

She does that because she generates interest among many Americans, both good and bad unfortunately, but she is definitely a phenomena, the Thrilla from Wasilla.

I believe that she was working as a receptionist in a Dentist’s office, she has only just turned 20.

Thanks for posting that, many have poor memories when it comes to the Bush twins.

Yep, they conveniently ignore the twins drinking and getting wasted, even making excuses for them.

I'll say this. Sarah Palin is separating the true conservatives from the RINO loving hacks here on FR.

I agree. Bristol is a lovely young lady, but the only reason she made it to the last week of DWTS is because her last name is Palin. It certainly wasn't her dancing ability which, although it improved, was just mediocre.

Bristol's had her fun and more than her 15 minutes. Now she should go back home and be a mom again to Tripp. And she should find a job the old-fashioned way - through hard work and personal initiative - not because her mother happens to be Sarah Palin.

Thats a shame then. One would think that she would have some respect for the office her mother is wanting to hold.
She has made enough money to sit back until the primaries are over.

If her name was Bristol Smith instead of Bristol Palin she'd be a single mom in a double-wide trailer in Wasilla. Being a Palin is all she's qualified to do.

We will never know what her life, or yours would have been like if they were someone else's lives.

What a 19/20 girl who couldn't even make it out of high school without getting knocked-up, has done to merit any of this attention, is truly a great mystery

Apparently she has merited your attention.

Why an "Old" DeckHand feels the need to trash a 20 year old kid who made a mistake, I think would be a great mystery to most reasonable people.

Looks like Bristol has some career choices ahead

What do guidance counselors call a career of being exploited with televised opportunities to embarrass your mother?

Oh yes , I know the stock answer... She made a lot of money, so it has to be good.

I hope when Hannity books her to bite heads off chickens, he allows the audience to participate. She draws votes better than Dale Earnhart Jr. or Ron Paul.
