Bristol Palin Eyeing Big Money Deals Post-'Dancing'

By Rob Shuter

Nov 29th 2010 03:03PM

Bristol Palin didn't technically win 'Dancing With the Stars' last week, but financially, the 20-year-old mom is paso doble-ing all the way to the bank.

"Bristol made over $345,000 from being on the show and currently is getting $35,000 for each speaking gig she does," an insider reveals to me. "Yet, all that is going to feel like pocket change if one or two of the big deals she's currently working on actually happens."

Palin family friends tell me there is a major deal in the works for Bristol to be the spokesperson for a middle American fashion brand, as well as a book deal and a multi-million offer to appear on another reality show.

"Apparently she has merited your attention."

She just finished spending 12 weeks on the most watched television show in the country. You'd have to be dead, in prison or in a coma to not take note of her. She has her own IMDB page, for heavens sake.

"Why an "Old" DeckHand feels the need to trash a 20 year old kid who made a mistake"

Wow, you sound like a teenage girl defending Justin Bieber. Just saying.

Now what is Bristol going to put in a book?,/i>

maybe she'll write about how hard it is to be a teenage mother. And maybe she'll be able to write it in words that will encourage young gilrs to listen.

She has a story that could depict how having a baby is not as glamerous as some of the high schoolers think it is.

Now that would be a book worth reading!

If I were Bristol Palin I'd be thinking “if they are stupid enough to pay me for this you dang right I'm going to take advantage of it!” She'd be a fool to not do so. How many of you, if you were 19 and had a child, would turn down an opportunity to make big bucks?

The Palin family has been hard working and as successful as they could be given their lot in life...up until the VP nomination. I believe they entered into it with no expectation of the horrible treatment they would receive. Now they are making money and living well. As I recall, the best revenge is living well. I like it! Just making gazillions of gallons of lemonade from all the puckered mouth lemons, haha.

I don’t regard a reality show as a career.

Maybe I’m just stupid that way.

Perhaps I like a sense of accomplishment for my money.

I hate this about our country... Rewarding people for doing nothin

I love this country, where the government doesn't determine who gets rewarded.

Hate to agree with you, but she ought just stay behind closed doors until her mother decides what she is going to do come Nov. 2012.

Don’t care about it too much but I hope it drives Megan McCain insane with envy.

I have nothing against reality show personalities.

It’s just not what I want in a First Family.

If Palin wants to win she will need to at the very least pretend to get serious. Talk is cheap.

The country is a mess and all of this silly TV pap seems more like a popularity contest instead of postioning to be afforded the top job in the world.

Sarah Palin is going to have trouble in 2012, especially if Kate Gosselin runs for President and picks one of the Kardashians as a running mate.

Agreed.

She’s got the support of her family, she could pursue any field she wanted.

Why an "Old" DeckHand feels the need to trash a 20 year old kid who made a mistake, I think would be a great mystery to most reasonable people.

Wow, you sound like a teenage girl defending Justin Bieber.

No actually I'm defending against an OldDickHand who feels the need to trash a 20 year old kid.

What kind of old man feels the need to do that?

And our sexual predator in chief who was impeached for his unlawful behavior is worth over $100 Million. while the WACO children rot in their graves he travels the country weaving his lies and earning money.

Personally I believe that his impeachment choice should have been firing squad or hanging!
