Ever seen REM live?

10,000 people yelling “Leonard Bernstein” at once was a lot of fun.

To be quite honest.... now I can't hear this song without thinking of Dwight from The Office.

That’s what I like about Billy Joel. He doesn’t shy away from “tributes” to legends. Listen to “An Innocent Man”, and you can pretty much name every group he’s honoring with nearly all of the songs on that album.

Same with “The Nylon Curtain” A lot of Beatles in that album (”Laura”, and “Scandinavian Skies” come to mind.

I’ve seen Elton about 10 times. Once with Billy (Billy was sick and couldn’t hit the high notes). Every show was awesome. The best was at the Greek Theater in L.A.— just him on piano with Ray Cooper on percussion. Played a lot of his lesser known (better) stuff.

If you want to see something great, get his 60th birthday concert DVD. You won’t be disappointed.
