I have no idea whatsoever if it is correct or not if Woody had a real honest to God, according to hoyle, ATM card or whether Del Rio, Texas, in 1980, had adequate facilities to use such a card is authentic or not. I know for an absolute fact that my husband and I have had an account at the Fowler, California branch of Bank of America since 1980. When they began issuing Versatel cards in 1981, we got one. Same account number for all of these years. If ID theft were not a problem, I would scan and post it. He had another account before we met he opened in 1978. His father had an account since the 1960’s. Was it a state charter, federal, who knows?
To be honest, when I was watching the movie, I was too enthralled by the suspense, the chase of the movie to get to wrapped up over such things.
I need to say what I frequently tell my husband. Just watch the movie and enjoy it for Gods sake!

1980 is NOT the Seventies. A debit card could be accessed not only at an ATM, but at any bank in the country at the time. One would suspect that Woody could find a local bank branch that could work a debit or credit card if he was sent to find Chigurgh. By 1980 their where hundreds of thousands of ATM around the country. There where several in every county seat in the country, even in West and South West Texas.

NOthing matches the original. Matt Damnon made the smear campaign against Sarah Palin a personal obsession of his. There is no way I will support this lowlife.
