OMG, Teenie! I LOVE IZ! I have every CD he has ever made.

Here is my most favorite:

Notice how the people became calm,
Swayed with the music,
joined hands and raised them,
As they all sang along with him.

I have read that over 10,000 people attended his funeral.....

I hate to be a wet blanket here but here goes. First, let me say that I am also a big Iz fan and have his albums. Now for some reality. Iz was one of the Hawaiians , and there are many of them, that didn't like haoles. (haole: white people) even though they loved him and were making his income. He did his music for his Hawaiian people. I could name other Hawaiian entertainers with the same attitude but wont do so here. What I find offensive is he played up to the whites to buy his albums while not caring for them at all. “Over the Rainbow” is my favorite of all his songs. BTW, I've lived here in the islands for over 40 years and know what I am talking about.

Thank you for sharing your ‘first hand’ knowledge of IZ. I never knew that.

But, I must say - his voice was pure and soothing (and still is to me, with the CD’s.)

Well, I did need the kleenex, Yorkie! We may think we teach our animals so much, but in fact, THEY teach us also so much!! Can’t help but say this—Michael Vick should see this video! AMEN!
P.S. d’Ogee is lying down right in front of me and she’s snoring! I love that she feels so comfortable, loved and secure!!
