CBS announced today that one of its top shows, "Two and a Half Men," is on hiatus as the series' star, actor Charlie Sheen, entered rehab, one day after he was hospitalized following an allegedly drug-fueled bender with porn stars at his LA home, TMZ reported.

"He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern," the statement added.

"Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing 'Two and a Half Men' on production hiatus," according to a statement from CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre.

Sheen, 45, "voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center" on Friday, his publicist said in a statement.

"He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern," the statement added.

"We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision," the statement added.

Sheen, in a text message to Radar Online's senior executive editor Dylan Howard, spoke for the first time since he was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.

"I'm fine," he said. "People don't seem to get it...Guy can't have a great time and do his job also?"

This has to be expensive for his producers.

What should be done is for them to close this show and forget Charlie Sheen exists. He isn’t worth the trouble.

To be honest, part of me says, “What an a____le. Another part says, “I wish that were me doing that.”

Some parts of it, anyway.

Boys will be boys. Even past the age of 45 sometimes.

I’d probably agree with closing although they could bring in some ‘sub’ for a dozen shows to just wrap up production. You could even write it into the script that Charlie was sent to a sex rehab facility to explain his absence. As for the replacement? For twelve episodes....I’m guessing that a dozen Hollywood actors would be willing to come out and do this...for almost nothing. You might even be able to get Adam Sandler. You could turn the last season into a unique event that might even have more viewers.

Try thousands. On any given day, 99% of hollywood actors/actresses are unemployed and would sell their family into slavery for a gig.

After drug-fueled benders, politicians like Patrick Kennedy or Charlie Sheen go to rehab while in the real world, crackheads like Tyrone Biggums or the 19 year old pothead kid at a Phish concert go to jail.

I guess Charlie is changing places with the kid for the “half-man” role.

Emilio Estevez isn’t busy and I bet he could use the job and the money.

There is no way they would do that. Yes it might cost some money right now, but that show brings in a HUGE amount of money to CBS. In fact, they already renewed the show for next year. This is not a horrible show quite frankly. I don’t watch it much but it seems like a good show.

Continue the show but have an actor cop come to the dơor and announce that Shên's character was killed, then hire a replacement.

A little makeup and a wig and you probably wouldn’t know the difference. Except if you accidentally left your stash in Emelio’s dressing room odds are it would be there when you returned. With Charlie, not so much...

Look at how the cops and courts go after Lindsey Lohann for her antics compared to Charlie.

Patrick Duffy's character died but that didn't stop him from coming back to Dallas.
