Another former Fox sci-fi fan favorite is heading to cable: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been picked up by Syfy.
EW can exclusively report that Syfy has gained the rights to all 31 episodes of the series, which ran for two seasons on Fox from 2007-09. This will mark the first time the show has aired off broadcast.
The news comes on the heels of Science Channel making waves by picking up Foxs cult fave Firefly. Sarah Conner Chronicles will launch on Syfy on Thursday, April 7 at 9 p.m., with an airing of Terminator 3 for a lead-in. Its regular time slot will be Thursdays from 7 to 11 p.m. (So, yes, four episodes in a row!)

Yes, they are buying reruns. But at least their taste is excellent.

Yes, they are, but perhaps, with sufficient viewership, they will buy the rights to make a new season of TSCC.

I like the way you think!
But chances are high that a short-sighted Fox executive from the future will be sent back through time to destroy any third series. It’s what always seems to happen to Summer Glau vehicles.

Neal Boortz made a comment one day about women and tats, he said: "When was the last time you saw a really beautiful woman and said to yourself: If she only had a tat?"

This show is currently in the watch instantly section of Netflix if anybody is interested.
I’m very close to boycotting the CrapFy channel soon.
Wrestling, Face off, Ghost Hunters this and that 24/7 and when the rare occasion happens that there is something remotely interesting on you get deluged with face Off, Ghost Hunter commercials.

Me too! I remember when my hubby & I learned that Sarah Connor Chronicles had been cancelled and he said that he hoped they would wind it up and not leave it as a cliffhanger. Well, they left it as a cliffhanger and we were really disappointed.
To: mowowie
I agree....I'm close. Ghosts? That's all fiction. No science.
But;
They have purchased another 10 new episodes of "Stargate: Universe" premiering this Monday at 10pm. It will wrap up and conclude the series rather than leaving it hanging like they did.
Not my favprite SG series by far...but it has potential. We shall see what comes. There may be hope for SyFy yet after the new owners get things cranking again.

Yawn. The Sarah Chronicles were boring. I got the DVDs on Netflix but quit watching after 3 or 4 episodes. They didn’t even have the camp “value” of those horrid SyFy original movies.

I’m not sure going back to being rerun land is such a good idea. Back when it started maybe, but this is the day of Netflix and DVDs. I own TSC, and even if I didn’t they’re on Netflix stream, I see a pretty small audience that would watch it on SyFy with all the commercials. Basically people who’ve heard about it, and don’t have Netflix, or a friends with a copy, maybe the random channel surfer.

Meh, I made it partway through season 2 and gave up. It just seemed to go on and on with no real point to it all. And did they really have to make the submarine the Jimmy Carter?
Now a Firefly reboot would be a different matter altogether.

The end of season 2 was much better than its beginning.
Riley and Jesse drove away more than a few fans, in my opinion. They should never have been incorporated into the show.

I missed the last bunch of SG:U’s then i watched a couple of the newer ones a few days ago.
It seems i’ve missed out on a lot of stuff.
Seed Ship? Little alien dudes?
I’ll have to catch up this weekend for the premier on monday.
The good thing is they are not going to leave the show hanging.
Let’s hope for the best.

I was half asleep on the couch but I noticed that it seemed like they turned the Chloe character into a Summer Glau “River” type character?
For a bit there i thought i was watching River in action.
